Brakes
The Skyline Brembos are 4 pots, not 6, but they are miles better than the stock z calipers. If you do go down the second hand caliper route, make sure you get them refurbed! its wasted money otherwise and youll never reap the full benefits of the conversion. I dont think stock zed discs match with the brembo calipers, but im not 100%. I believe 335mm is as big as you can got on the brembos, but yet again, im not 100%. Shunter has got a set of 350z front and rears with discs for a very good price, id seriously consider them HTH nick

April Monthly Meet: Sunday 27th Jap Performance Sunday
Right, The best way to get to this for those using the M4, is off at Jnc 11 for the A33 towards Basingstoke. When youve left the motorway round about, there is a short section (about 400yds) to a roundabout. Go straight across towards B'stoke and you will travel down a long section of Duel Carriage way. When you get to the round about take the first exit. Follow this road to the next round about. Wellington country park is on the left off this roundabout. For those who are coming from the M3, feel free to RVP round my house as im only about a mile from Jnc 5. PM me for details Nick

Powder coating
Hammerite spray is very good. Heat resistant and give a good finish. Used the black on my mate Legacy turbo, and they came out really nice. 2 years on and not a sign of flaking.

Water leak
Alright Liam, long time no see! Right so, heater matrix pipes are they seated correctly, i had a similar problem when one of the pipes hadnt seated properly and would occasionally spit out a bit of steam. So youve got steam coming from the drivers side at the rear of the engine bay. Did you have the plenum water bypass done when you had the engine rebuilt? Other than that i cant think of any other water pipes that run round that side of the engine Nick

ZX as track day car
Performance wise. Start with chassis and brake mods. The zed has got enough power for any track novice, but before you start boosting up the turbos, i would seriously sort out the chassis first. It will make your car soooooo much quicker through the majority of the circuit, be able to carry more speed through the corners, and when the desire for more power does come, you will already have an idea on how your car handles on the limit. Speak to Legrath, hes on a similar mission. All the best with the project Nick
