  1. I have been looking into this for an upcoming meet for the SC lot (jap performance show @wellington country park) and the average quote im getting is around the £70 mark for one that is 7 foot by 3 foot with the 300zx.co.uk logo and South Central in print at the bottom. I do think that we do not advertise this club as much as we could. I for one am proud to be a part of it, and would like to show that we are a club and not just a gaggle of 300zx's that appear to be at the same place at the same time, nevermind being out done by the local impreza owners club with their banners and flags. I know athene has said "leave it with me", but i would like to think this is something the committee would see as a worth while investment of members contributions, and i for one would fully support it. Nick
  2. Yep, working night shift making the street of london that little bit safer
  3. Looks like an ace day. Im going to upgrade my brakes before taking onto a track tho! Maybe we should have a dedicated trackday section to go with the new regions:x:
  4. I used to smoke alot when i ran a pub, but im down to about 5-10 a day. Its too bloody expensive to be a heavy smoker, but i do like a smoke, gives me that 5 minutes i need to reflect on bits and bobs and no one bothers me
  5. try sky. been ace for me
  6. Let us know how you get on with the Brakes mate, im looking at getting a set of the 356mm 8 pots later this year, would be nice to actually get some feedback on these instead of just rumours. Engine is looking v tidy btw Nick
  7. All i can suggest is try these guys mate. Ive got a mate who used to have a well sorted altezza, and he used to use this site for help and advice http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/
  8. Peeps, Ive come across a little problem. With the combination of being poorly fitted, someone nudging the spoiler in a carpark and lots of speed bumps, my high level bomex spoiler has managed to work itself loose. To be honest im pretty appauled to the standard it has been fitted, with a combination of self tapping screws and double sided tape, see below. It has always been 'loose' since buying the car and has always wobbled a little bit. My question is to those who have high level spoilers, HOW have they been fitted? Has your been subjected to the same treatment as mine and been attached with a combination of screws and tape, or has it been stuck on using a strong bodyshop adhesive such as sikaflex or similar. Im going to take off the lower level spoiler as well, as im not happy with how that is fitted either, so no doubt i will have some unpleasant suprise when that is removed. Cheers in advance Nick
  9. If you havent got the hint yet, GET AOL THE **** OUT OF YOUR COMPUTER! Honestly, its a horrid little program, worms its way into so many parts of your computer, which is why it has such a profound effect when it goes belly up, which it always does. My inlaws had AOL on there comp, caused a massive meltdown of windows and needed a full reinstall of XP to sort the problem!
  10. Hes giving a car theif alot of credit if he doesnt think they just come back later with a set of bolt croppers and take an extra 5 seconds to nick the car
  11. Well the offer is there mate, as long as the kettle is hot, im happy to work on a zed :duffer:
  12. Well ive got a bit of time off coming up soon, so im more than happy to come give you a hand if you like
  13. Why would you pay someone to lower your car for you when youve got coil overs and the C spanners?!? Honestly, how often do you use the car? If you dont use it every day, and its more of a weekend car, then the alignment can wait a little while, as can the adjustable upper arms. Obviously, if its a daily driver, then your tyres will suffer, but if its not, theres nothing wrong with doing it in stages. But honestly, it needs the drop IMHO Nick
  14. Legally, all you have to provide at the scene of an accident is Name and Address if its a damage only and if its a Personal Injury collision, then insurance details. If you put in a claim, to find that the details are false, you are covered by the Motor Insurance Bureau.
  15. I hadnt realised how rusted these had got. Another job added to the list Top of the strut
  16. Peeps, My car currently has Tein coilovers on it, but i would like to find out which model they are. I cant seem to see any identifying marks on them that show any sort of model number. Does anyone know how i can find out which ones they are? Cheers:duffer: Nick
  17. A quick question for those in the know. Looks like im going to end up with 9.5 wide rear wheels. I have a option of offsets of: +12 +20 +30 +38 Which of these do you think will "sit" best on the rear of the car, i will have rolled front and rear arches by then, but i want to have the wheels fill the arches as best as possible. (oh and ive already decided on a +20 offset for the front :D)
  18. You mean something like this http://www.conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=1918&Car_Type=300&UID=2008041705460190.194.110.229
  19. Welcome fella. Everything you will want to know is on this site, and if it isnt, someone will know where it is. Remember, the search button is your friend :D Hope you have a trouble free zed ownership Nick
  20. I'd check out the garage they wont you to take the car to. If you dont think its up to scratch, then find one you think is. IIRC the only advantages about taking it to an approved repairer is options on courtesy car, a little less hassle with forwarding quotes, but its been a while since i was out of the insurance game, so im sure someone who has had a similar experience will be able to help you out more, but personally, id never take my car to a garage i didnt think was up to scratch regardless if it was approved or not.
  21. Thats really low! thats below saftey boost You should be boosting between 9 and 10 psi, which is about 0.75/0.8 bar You need to do a ecu check (make sure there are no error codes) get a boost leak check done and work from there
