Things 2 junk whilst engines out ?
If I remember it right the AIV just dumps extra air into the exhaust system before or after the cats so that your emissions are lower. Other then that it's pretty usless anyway.

Got non-stock seats?
Recaros recliners like the ones in the later model Z but mounted on bride subframes. I think they are brilliant and holds me in alot better then the original seats. Save alot of weight too! Only thing is that they are really low! I can't see over my bonnet any more! So parking becomes a bit of a bitch but I can live with that.

indicators misbehaving
Water by pass, basically Nissan thought it was a good idea to send coolant under the plenum and add an extra 101 connections which could go wrong! (Maybe not 101 extra connections but one too many in any case!) All it is, is that you removal it all and replace it with one hose for each side. Take a look at the link and you'll understand. I suggest you do this asap and replace any water hoses you can as my ones deicded it had enough last month and painted my engine bay coolant pink. http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=technical&msg_id=880107

indicators misbehaving
On my one it seems to be the actual connector which touches the bottom of the bulb itself. If I twist it in tight like you should do, they dont light up, I have to loosen it up a bit before it actually works. I keep twisting them tight as it's a natural thing to do and screw it all back up only to realise that I have to take it apart again because it doesnt work!:headvswal Having said that, you should get your hands on a new relay or borrow one and test it to see if that isnt the problem... then wait for the next problem to arise! I suggest the next thing you do is to replace as many coolant hoses as poss and do the water by pass.

indicators misbehaving
It's prob a loose connection. I have the same problem on my Zed. Though once my ones are working they keep on working. I suggest you turn your signal on and basically twist the indicator until it works then screw it back on and pray that it stays on afterwards! :wack:

Arial removal
I remember reading a thread about relocating the arial to the inside of the car. It's on one of the American 300ZX site, basically what they did was remount the ariel on it's side just behind the light cluster so it extends from drivers side rear light to passenger side. Of course you'll have to make sure when the arial extends there isnt anything in it's way.

About the hoses connecting the PCV system
Not too sure but I've got yet another picture showing where the metal pipe is. Basically the main part (RED) of the pipe connects the PCV from passenger side to the drivers side, it also has two extra metal hoses which for connecting coolant hose (GREEN) and another metal pipe which from what I've read up on is the vac line for the EGR (not show in the picture as there is no EGR). My suggestion is pretty much the same as the plenum water by pass. I dont see any reason why I cant just remove this bit of metal and shove one hose instead. Like I've said the only problem is that the PCV hoses reduces in size and then increases in size again as it is reconnected. Would that affect the way the PCV works!?

About the hoses connecting the PCV system
Seeing as there's a big bit of metal piping running from the back of the engine connecting one side of the PCV to another, couldnt I just remove this piece of crap and just shove one long hose in it's place!? Apart from the fact that the hoses itself reduces in bore size then increases back up in bore size I dont see any reason why I cant!? Less stinking connections to go wrong! Oh, I managed to get the plenum off too!

Leak
I've got a leak at the back of the engine. Though it's from one of the top hoses. If only my hands where as small as those Japanese I would have got it sorted. Most of the hoses at the back aint too hard to do once you get the plenum off... though in my case the plenum just wont come off! :wack:

Plenum wont come off!
Right, back to the top. After 4 weeks of pulling as it says.... can someone come pull for me as no matter what I do the ******* still wont come off! I wanna drive man! DAMN IT!!! Please someone tell me they had worse luck then I did when trying to pull the damn thing off. Been through all the guides and I did come across a screw which wasnt mentioned that was bolted down. I'm more then 100% sure that I've done everything!

turbo timer
There's a connector at the back which you just need to pull out. Just follow the wires back to the connector. Though when I did this my auto box wouldnt shift into gear when u use the brake pedal. I have to now use the shift lock to release it!

300zx/skyline/pulsar - Speedo Converter/delimiter Chip
When I got my second Z I dumped the speedo converter chip as it was just causing too many problems with the PAS and the speedo was just on off. Personally I dont really give a crap about the car being limited to 115MPH. Not likey to get the car that fast most of the time.

One for the hardcore weight savers
Which was why I dumped them for Recaro recliners! Would have gone with bucket seats but I think there's an slight MoT issue there. If only I had a SWB.

Plenum wont come off!
 Those long things have been sitting on the floor of my garage for a week now! I've got a box full of nuts now where I aint 100% sure where they go. I guess I'll just have to pull out everything I think that is connected to it and pray in god that I know how to put it back together once I'm done! Can't afford a bigger hammer yet
-
Plenum wont come off!
Been through all the guides and I'm pretty much 100% sure I've taken everything that is actually holding it down. It's just annoying that it doesnt just lift like it's suppose to! Blah, guess I can only try and try and try again!

Plenum wont come off!
I'm trying! At the rate I'm going I'll prob bend the breaker bar I'm using to try wrench that ******* off! Someone has to have some idea, mostly wanna know what else you people who's removed the thing before did. Cant be that hard to pull the g!t off can it?
-
Plenum wont come off!
Any more tips on how to yank the ******* off? I know for sure that everything has been disconnected apart from the pipes along the back. Unless I should really do those too. The passenger side of the plenum is pretty loose and is moving quite a bit, though how ever the driver's side isnt soo loose and is a ******* to move. So, any one wanna help me a bit more!? The car's been off road for a week now.

Heatshield for engine loom
Seeing as I'm doing a few jobs on the engine right now, I was just wondering if anyone know of any sort of heat shielding product I can get for the engine wire loom? Gonna try cover as much as I can, at least that way whatever is left of that 15 year old loom is protected a little better, even if it does just extends it's life for a few extra days in the long run!
