  1. Should check your caps lock! Anyhow, I changed the spark plugs, messed about with the PTU and it started without the engine light on. After which the engine sounded like it bottomed out... So I'm most likey to break the thing now. Guess that'll be more fun then trying to get the thing to move again. Number of things to do if you have the same problem from what I've found:- 1) Jump start the car, if the car starts then it's prob a battery problem 2) Check for spark 3) New spark plugs (could have been flooded) 4) Check PTU connectors 5) Check the wires to the starter/replace starter I think that's about it.

To clear this up a bit as it's quite miss informed. The 180SX (S13) is the JDM name for the car and had the CA18DET engine, while the UK version was called 200SX (S13) and had the same CA18DET engine, the US was called 240SX and had a 2.4l NA, not sure what type of engine that was. Around 94/95 in Japan when the new 200SX (S14) with the SR20DET engine was release they (Nissan) realised people still liked the old S13 style and then made a run of S13s powered with an SR20DET engine instead. I do believe they called them 180SX Type-X.

  5. What the hell are you talking about? Civic VTi pre 92 = 150BHP, after that it's 160BHP on all UK cars.
  6. Daihatsu Charade GTTI, 1.0l 3cyl turbo, 100BHP, Toyota Starlet GT Turbo/Glanza, 1.3l Turbo, 115BHP/133BHP depending on if you put it on low/high.

Not all Civics are 4 studs. The CTRs are all 5 studs. I believe the CTRs are 5x114 with an offset of around 40-45. Though Civics are known to be able to take a 35 offset.
  8. Right, I have the harness but only problem is that it's the wrong one! :headvswal Chris has suggested that I hack the thing, only I dont wanna hack it so I took the harness apart and am trying to put the wires back in order! Anyone have a Greddy Turbo Timer installed using the correct harness for a Japanese Spec car? If you do could you take a picture of the harness I'll be very grateful.
  9. Not much lighter then a LWB! I think it's around the 1520kg. Get rid of the standard electric seats and you'll save a hugh amount of weight! :hyper:
  10. Something like 1560kg with no load, depends on if it's auto or not, TT or N/A etc... On your log book it'll prob say 1790kg which is weight with max load.
  11. Ok, I've ruled out a starter problem as I've replaced it and I still can't get it to start, battery wise I know it's a bit low and could be an earthing problem somewhere but I've did a jump start with my other car and the car turns over but doesnt start. Spark plugs have all been replaced, though I need to find a day when it's not sooo rainny to check for spark. Car has been turnt over with the fuel pump fuse out just in case it might have been a flooded engine. I'm sure I'm getting fuel otherwise I wouldnt have been covered in the stuff when I pulled them out! :hyper: Has an Check engine light on, then cat light comes on when trying to start. I've talked to Mark about it but haven't had any replies back as of yet. If anyone can give me some other pointers to check as I would like to get the car started and see if there is any other problems I'll need to fix! Video of the car trying to start is here:- http://www.putfile.com/w1ng
  12. If I remember a few cases I've read on it the website has to pretty much step on their trademark before they have any grounds on taking it off of you by force. I wouldnt just surrender it, tell them to go bugger off. As long as the website isnt used to make money by using their name I dont see how they can do you for it. In anycase they should have PRE-REGISTERED the damn name before hand.
  13. Not quite asking people what is in my car as I know full well what is actually suppose to be in it. OR so I thought. While striping the car down to it's bear bones I've come to think maybe the previous owners left a piece of themselves in the car. I've found chewing gum, a Japanese coin, 1p coin, 2p coin, 10p coin and not to mention a parking permit for some forest :wack:, a nut that is so embedded into the sound deaden it's practically part of it now and a load of wires that doesnt seem to belong anywhere! Not to mention some stupid spider who thought it was a good idea to lay it's eggs inside the car... :headvswal Anyone found anything a bit more interesting in their cars? :nana2: I might try hunt for a flare in the car over the weekend!
  14. I know about that one, it's a bit like calling a friend who knows what he's on about but you dont! Looks a bit like one of the American guides, in which case some of the stuff will of course be a bit different...! I've got a general idea of how to install it but rather be safe then sorry!
  15. Can someone do a dummies guide to installing the Profec B-Spec2!? :D
  16. What about removing standard stuff? oO?!!!
  17. That's nice to know that it isnt anything too serious as I never noticed before until I started taking all the unnecessary crap out of the engine.
  18. Found something nice in the engine bay... actually it's broken and I aint got a clue what it is. Can any one help? I've got a bit of red vac line, is it ok just to replace it with that as it seems to be coming off and out of the bar on the plenum.
  19. That sounds about right to me.
  20. Greddy replica...! http://www.takakaira.co.jp/asp/template.asp?id=101&cat=1&prodID=QRrNoOojlKmipLk
  21. Yup, that's right.
  22. How about just getting a snap off adapter. Brings the wheel closer to you as well as it being an extra security for your car!
  23. I've tried out the LED ones but I've got the 25? led version. They are ok, but not as good as the normal ones seeing as the rear light compartment is quite big and the lights from the LED are directional so it just looks like a little red spot from afar. Pretty good for stop and tail light though if your planning to have the inner lights as fog then I would prob stick to the normal lights for them.
  24. Once you find it that is and if it's not stuck cause of a bit of rusting! Bit of a pain in the ass. It's very near the oil filter and you'll prob be easier to just remove the driver side wheel and go in from there rather then jacking it up and coming in from under the drivers door.
  25. Anyone know of someone in the London area that can do such a thing? I want to modify a set of standard non-electrical passenger side subframe so it can hold my aftermarket seats... anyone know how heavy those things are? As if they are a little too heavy I might go get a bride frame imported instead. Only asking because I dont have non-electric passenger seat and want to know if it's worth modifying or just getting a whole new frame that fits as standard.. :hyper:
