  1. Definetly did all that! Figured out why it doesnt seem to wanna come off. There's some sort of gasket sealant on the middle section! And it looks a pretty colour black. Anyone know of a way of getting that crap off? Haaa, prob a heat gun I take it....!
  2. Prob will need a rubber mallet soon to whack the thing when I'm pissed off! At least it'll do less damage that way! Pretty much unbolted everything, or at least I think I have. Still wont come off though! :headvswal Gonna call it a day today and try again tomorrow.
  3. It's fine, just a little bit of history! Could learn a few things from stories like that! Already started on the nice job and realised I cant get my fingers down there... so though I might as well do a full plenum pull. Only my back, legs and arms hurts now and the ******* still doesnt wanna come off! One thing I have noticed is that there's some funny dirty yellow/brown coloured dust in the cylinder nearest to the driver seat. I take it that's from the result of that side of the engine not getting any coolant?
  4. My god what have I started!
  5. Cheers for that! Hopefully it aint going to be too difficult of a job!
  6. That's a bit of a piss take. You managed to recope the money from the a$$?
  7. Just a general picture of where the problem is. I know of the water by pass and I'll do that at a later date when I've 100% at what I'm doing, though gonna practice on my old Z! Just need to know what size they are so I dont go pulling them out only to find out I dont have the right size hose to replace them with! Was just borrowing your picture as it was the best one I can find! What the hell happened to it?
  8. Cut a story short my car was leaking coolant and overheating while out yesterday. Figured out where the leak is, now all I need to know is does anyone know what size they are and is it a pleunm off job?
  9. Try the immigration instead. :D That's because that's all they are good for, working their *****cks off and gambing it away in mins! Not to mention smoking like as if they are local coal power plant!
  10. Dont know much about it but my friend gave me his one from his S13 and it fits and works just fine. I have a Jap Spec car so the old Japanese headunit was ditched ages ago.
  11. They aint all the same. N/A rad caps are rated at 0.9 while the TT rad caps are 1.2.
  12. Cant remember what colour it was but it aint that hard to slice it into the handbrake, just need to spend some time taking your center dash out!
  13. If that's the case why dont you tell your side, cause right now your replies to those who dont know what is going on seems a bit insulting.
  14. Pretty easy once you've pulled all the hoses out and the fan shourd, after that it's just a matter of pulling it up and out of the engine bay.
  15. Actually depending on what brand turbo timer he has there is an extra wired which has to be wired up to the shift lock so that if the car is in drive and the handbrake is off it will cut the engine also. So it's actually one wire for the shift lock and one for the handbrake (handbrake one being the most common).

If you have a Jap Spec car and the fog light is wired up wrong that could blow the fuse. Mine did that and after about 15 more odd fuses I figured it out why it was doing it!
  17. This is becoming quite a sad set of affairs now. Doesnt exactually make me want to be part of this forum.
  18. It's prob be cause the middle part of it spells W A N K. :nono:
  19. With great difficultly! I never managed to get it out, though it is said that you can do so without removing the exhaust pipes out of the way. I just gave up on it left the stupid thing where it was.

I think I've got alot more posts with no replies then most! Not to worry anyway, I've learnt quite alot messing around with the Z myself and do have quite a bit of know how. But I still think it would have been nice if there was people out there who are willing to share their own know how with others and reply with something nice. For me I do think this forum has become quite unwelcoming for newbies. I know when I was lurking around when I first joined up before I even had a Z that the people on here where more helpful. I'm quite pissed off with the lack of help on this forum sometimes that I'm now on a mission to help as many people as I can if know how! This is prob also the reason why I'm unlikey to turn up to most of the meets, dont like politics!

At least you lot are getting replies! My threads asking for help always seems to just drop off somewhere without any answers of any sort! Quite annoying as this gives the forum the impression that no one is willing to help, even though I know there's plenty people on here who could do so!

Make sure you write down what not to do for the rest of us so when we get round to doing it, we wont do it wrong! :D Having said that, you could do mine for me. I need to get my Zed out right now while it's sunny... bloody door card is apart from the last time I tried sorting out the central locking, need to get petrol while it's cheapo! 94.9p for V-Power! :smash:
  23. Wont say exactually where it is as it could be the Zed sitting at home, but it was near Southampton Common. Completely standard from what I can remember!
  24. Saw a black Zed driving towards Southampton today near the Wiltchester? Services. Who is it then!? Little closer to London I think I also saw a Yellow Zed with a mid rise spolier but the central reservation blocked my view so I'm not 100% sure if it was a Zed or not!
  25. The problem is that the hole is high up and there is no other hole near the area! The biggest hole where you could try and put a nut up there is where the reel part of the seatbelt is....! You'll need one hell of a bar to get it all the way up there. Beside, all this should be done with the interior attached and the only way to do it if your going to put a nut there yourself is to have the interior off when you bolt it on... after which you can't put your interior back on it as you've just bolted the belt on! If it was like the rear, where the thread was there, all you would need to do is drill the interior. I would have done it by now myself it that was the case.
