  1. Try grounding it to the battery itself then as that's how mine are. When I have my HIDs on, and then turn on the high beam, the HIDs stay on as well.
  2. Get a shell and shove it in there instead! Buy my shell!!!
  3. Ground the HIDs to some where else on the chassis!
  4. I'm assuming so but I've never opened it up and checked personally.
  5. On my quest to find out what would cause high levels of H/C as they need to go down here's a few things I need to confirm. Code 13, makes the car run in safe mode, I take it this means it'll dump more fuel into the engine, hence the higher chances of the fuel not fully burning and ending up with an exhaust fume smelling more like petrol! O2 sensors, if they are shot, would it do the same as above? Also, after driving for periods of time with the engine dumping more fuel then needed, I guess my cats would be dead!? Any help would be nice cheers!
  6. Well the last time I tried installing it all I did was remove my net connection and it worked! :D Didnt work when I had net access. Having said that there is plenty of other ways to get it installed. Try as above, if not PM me and I'll see if I can help in anyway.
  7. Maybe but not as much as those like me who lives in London! No wonder why the council tax bill shot up quite a bit this year! :headvswal
  8. Gonna do that, might just be easlier for me to pull the one in the car and replace it with the spare I got!
  9. Right, time to fix that damn idle of mine and hopefully that should bring down my HC levels for my MOT as I swear I'm losing a lot of brain cells every time I take my Z out of the garage!
  10. Sorry! For some reason I thought you said strip rather then stripe!? You guys are a legend! My first code 55 in ages!
  11. Cheers, I just need to know where the wires goes into the plug itself as I still have that, just it was loose when I stripped it back hence why those wires just fell out which was prob why I've had this code 13 for a while even with the new water sensor!
  12. Wooo, I'm a bit slow at pictures...! doh! Time to plug it back up and see if that code 13 buggers off!
  13. Right, here's the wires I'm talking about! Just need to know which one goes into which of the two pins on the ECU Water Sensor!
  14. I just need to know which wire goes into the plug so I can plug it back into the blue top ecu water sensor! Dont really wanna do the 50/50 chance in plugging the live in to the ground and the ground in to the live! I should get some pictures up!
  15. I was trying to figure out why I had a code 13 and noticed that the wires that go into the plug aint even in the plug itself but just hanging loose. So I cut back the covers and was going to put them back in but errmmm... which ones goes in which? I noticed that the plug has a label, 1 and 2. But which of the two, yellow/green wire and black wire goes where!? If anyone can help that'll be great!
  16. If you can find one that isnt a rot box you mean! Aint there only a few hundred of them now in the country?
  17. Toyota Starlet Glanza V? Fast nippy small hatch, cheap tax, cheap petrol! And modern enough to have most of the safety features you would expect from a car these days!
  18. Should be careful as if you need to stick something back on to the surface that you are using WD-40 to clean with, it'll be a bitch! :wack:
  19. Thought I'll clear things up a bit as I made a slight bit of a boo boo! :headvswal
  20. That reminds me, only on UK series one zeds but not Jap series one zeds from what I've seen. :hyper:
  21. That only came on series 2 interior and that's bolted on to the panel so I doubt that you can get it separately. If you got series 1 you could cut a hole.
  22. They dont do the rear spolier either. Which is a shame, though I might go stupid and get it ordered from Japland itself as I really do like that look. As for the side skirts they look pretty much exactly the same as the Impul ones!
  23. You could have been answering it as Yes (Jap car) & No (UK car) :p
  24. Well the car as had it's carbon canister removed and the AIV junked and the water temp sensor seems to work when it feels like it. I guess that would have affected it? So would replacing the O2 sensors be a good idea? Maybe even junking the cats too while I'm at it as I'm sure at this rate it's prob completely shot due to the high HC levels. Any advice would be great as I need to make a list of things to do before summer!
  25. Now that's just mean, you should have just said do a search! Just pull it off from the door. Or if you can't be bothered take it off from the belt holder instead. Either way you still have to remove something to get to the wires.
