  1. Yep, just saw it. Thanks !
  2. Yeah, paying £300 for a chip is a bit steep these days !
  3. I guess it is, since they sent out the letter to all their subscribed members announcing that the magazine will no longer be published. It's a great shame because I think that was probably one of the strongest selling points they had, especially as many of their members are not big web users.
  4. I find it even sadder because I was trying to arrange something with them to share the funding of their (excellent) magazine.
  5. 750rpm is about right for an auto, a manual should be a little lower.
  6. I don't have the accounts records with me, but according to the forum database you paid your initial sub on 7th November 2006. Did you pay a re-sub in August, if so by what method ?
  7. I had a similar problem, although in the end it turned out to be at least partly an electrical connection on the injector. But I did the following at the time :- Removed the plenum, had it blasted and chemically cleaned Removed the EGR Bypassed the throttle body heaters and removed all the pipe stubs Changed all the electrical connectors incl. injectors, coilpacks and idle valve etc Had all injectors cleaned and checked/calibrated. Changed PCV's The engine has never run so smoothly since all that was done - I put most of it down to the electrical connections.
  8. The oil is generally red and really isn't something that needs changing frequently. However, if it is discoloured or smells 'burnt' then a change would be due.
  9. Quantity will depend on the size of your oil cooler obviously, maybe an extra litre or two. You shouldn't need to replace the sieve/filter but cleaning it would be a good idea. In fact, if it needs cleaning then that's a bad sign for your replacement box !
  10. Nice to know you're still around mate.
  11. It was an interesting idea, but as the as petroleum companies are effectively a cartel it's pretty much doomed to failure in reality.
  12. And before Duffer corrects me, what I meant was that it measures acceleration and calculates force ! ;)
  13. Actually, I have one of those too - also not installed ! The device that uses the accelerometer is probably more accurate as it measures force, not wheelspin etc.
  14. To be honest I've only had a quick play with it. It is the absolute perfect size to fit in the cubby hole under the radio but unfortunately it needs to be located almost horizontally and that hole is just too steeply slanted. Therefore, I've never really played with it in the Z. But in my mates MR2 turbo we had a quick go and as long as you get the weight etc configured in then it has the potential to be quite accurate.
  15. No, I've got an earlier model, this one :- http://www.race-technology.com/ap22_2_82.html
  16. So far, all promise, no delivery.
  17. Same here. Has the plug got a funny adaptor on the end ? Can be unscrewed perhaps ?
  18. Not sports car tyre orientated, but a heap of great info nonetheless :- http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/products/total_tyre_guide/213177/tyre_test.html
  19. Under what circumstances ?
  20. VG30DET should be a Z31, I think !
  21. A/c raises the revs when it's running, but you said you removed it ....
  22. You have too much time on your hands !
  23. I've removed a couple. All the 2008 calendar ones will be able to go soon.
  24. The gas is illegal to buy/sell/supply etc, but not to use. Therefore, if it's working ok then there is no need to do anything. There are a number of companies which will do conversions, I'm sure someone else will remember more details.
