Can't find the info through search...

I'm fitting a second hand Auto gearbox to my Z as mine is dead. I am going to need some oil (obviously) and oilman has given me an idea of what i need.

Was wondering what others have used ?? and recomendations?

How much do i need as i have an oil cooler ?

Do i need to get a new gasget for the sump and a new sieve (filter) when fitting???

Thanks, cant wait to get back on the road properly!!!! :nana2:

Quantity will depend on the size of your oil cooler obviously, maybe an extra litre or two.

You shouldn't need to replace the sieve/filter but cleaning it would be a good idea. In fact, if it needs cleaning then that's a bad sign for your replacement box !

Ok, Its the standard UK model cooler...

haven't seen the new box but its only covered 75 000 kilometers, half the mileage of mine

my oil is pink is that a good thing or a bad thing i was gonna change it anyway do you think i still should

The oil is generally red and really isn't something that needs changing frequently. However, if it is discoloured or smells 'burnt' then a change would be due.

I use the Titan 75W-90 Semi Synthetic Gearbox Oil from Oilman. Mines a manual if that makes any difference?

Yes, different oil.
