  1. Hey, don't knock it. Nothing sucks like and Electrolux ! :D
  2. True, I'll do most electrical things, but laptops are a PITA
  3. £7.04 Actually, it could be less than that, postage is more on volume than weight when you use parcel2go.com
  4. Compare with Z1 then. I have often found them to be a little cheaper.
  5. You could be right, not sure who provides this particular access from where I am now. Anyway, they can be contacted at sales@courtesyparts.com should anybody care to do so.
  6. I personally wouldn't take on the risk of fixing this for someone else. If it were my own then it doesn't matter. I learnt this the hard way. That's why they are charging £120.
  7. http://www.courtesyparts.com/ still works for me.
  8. These can be a real sod to fix, I've tried a couple without 100% success. Problem is that the motherboard needs to be removed and usually a replacement power socket needs to be installed, getting the old one off is a bugger, not to mention putting 1.1 million bits of laptop back in the right order. To be honest £120 for a guaranteed fix is not as bad as it sounds !
  9. A very curious style of writing, half like it's been stolen from a solicitors letter, the other half by someone for whom English is clearly a second language but has a spelling checker.
  10. Actually, just to clarify, the last payment from you was £10 for a calendar, but the last £15 re-sub was as stated on 17th July, 2006.
  11. A nice car spoilt with extra Tupperware and shite wheels. My mate has a very dark blue/black one and it looks much classier than that.
  12. It was sort of me for a while but I spent most of my time being site Admin and then Treasurer as well, so the Techy thing fell by the wayside.
  13. Yeah, you need fingers like ET (although the light on the end is optional !) ;)
  14. That's what the standard autobox controller and main ECU achieve. In theory would be possible, but how does the ECU know when you're changing gear manually ? Would have to be some sort of switch output fed back to the ECU. Does a sequential box have that ? Seems likely ...
  15. Please join us in welcoming Pete (Turb0z) to the Committee. He has accepted the IT and Hosting role, previously held by Mike Groves until his resignation last year. He will be responsible for maintaining (and upgrading) the forum software and longer term determining the most appropriate method for hosting the site. I am particularly pleased to make this announcement as it means I will no longer be the primary site Admin ! Welcome Pete !
  16. I'm sure it can't be that difficult. Does anyone have a spare set of rear lights for practice ?
  17. Well the last bank payment I found was on 17th July 2006. You sure you didn't give me cash/cheque at a meeting somewhere ?
  18. That reminds me, I watched "Shaun of the Dead" on Saturday night ....
  19. There is a little red switch down the back of the gear stick, try pushing that down (or up - can't remember).
  20. Not really, as the original bulb will be a little cluster of LEDs, but if converted properly the whole of the reflector area will be replaced by LEDs.
  21. Contact Mike Feeney at MJP Auto (he's one of our traders). He has someone who will do this for you.
  22. Just wish I could find that old pic of Wazzer and his hamster !
  23. According to the forum database your subscription expired 22nd July 2007. I don't have the accounts records with me, have you paid by anything other than Paypal since then ?
