  1. You're likely to get done for around 22% on the total value (ie including shipping), then an admin fee which can be £10-15.
  2. It's almost certainly a copy of someone's chip, if you're lucky it's a good one. Better to go for a known source really.
  3. I tend to do most stuff myself, Mike would know if there is anyone else. May depend if you're desperate enough to go as far as Southend.
  4. Think we sussed a scart to vga cable in the end.
  5. Is that Carl, or someone else ?
  6. Want to add the series II manual supplement ? I have the scans available.
  7. And if you haven't already, all the electrical connectors for the coils and injectors.
  8. You sure that :- a) you set the timing correctly (is the screw in the middle of the slot on the CAS) ? b) the plug on the CAS is clean and installed securely ?
  9. Make sure you are using the correct pins - check the plug has one square end and one bevelled end. Ignition on, engine not started, plug in wire for a few secs and look at the ECU light on the dashboard. I think it repeats the codes until you turn off the ignition.
  10. There should be a small hole with a sticker with a circular arrow around it. The screw (is actually a potentiometer) and is inside the ECU.
  11. It's much easier to short the correct pins on the diag port, then it displays on the dashboard.
  12. If it's an old monitor with VGA only it will be difficult. If you have Composite (eg RGB BNC connectors) or HDMI then it is possible.
  13. Standard except that it would have appear to have been modified by Blitz.
  14. Welcome, I used to live in Hertford a few years back. That'll be a Jap car, square rear number plate is the obvious giveaway.
  15. The MOT testers handbook, or whatever it's called, is online somewhere too. Google will find it.
  16. Make sure you edit the no-spam off the address.
  17. You can contact me though my website as well as PM ! ;)
  18. Who are you ? LOL
  19. Only alternative, if the Linux thing doesn't work, is to put the drive in another machine and use a cracker on the password file - if the disk isn't encrypted.
  20. Nah, that's for the power-on password. I've never used vista, but presume it's similar to XP, in that you have to boot into Safe Mode and faff around at that level. Alternatively, you are probably best off downloading one of the password fixing tools that will come one a Linux bootable CD. Have a shufti here for an example :- http://home.eunet.no/pnordahl/ntpasswd/
  21. Hmmm, I'd quite like that. My favourite spoiler too.
