  1. Not sure how well that would work, the lugs are too narrow and would get in the way although it may be possible if you are really creative. Disc diameter issues are a little easier to deal with, but bear in mind the discs are a fair size already. Mine do fit inside 17" wheels so you can go a bit larger, but surely larger discs will be even more expensive. I'd just stick with standard parts (I did !), it makes replacements much easier and explaining the mods to an insurance company much easier. "Yes, they are standard Nissan parts, but from the later model". I even considered swapping the hubs so there would be no mods to those, but that wouldn't have worked.
  2. 350Z and Skylines have a different offset for the discs - just enough to be a real PITA. With what you have you can either buy standard 350Z discs (rather expensive!) or 'uprated' 350Z discs (eg aftermarket). There is a fair amount of choice out there. I'd stick with standard diameter, they do work pretty well as they are and with good pads you will notice a huge difference. Mike Feeney has 'alternative' discs on the front of his 350, which is explains why I have very slightly used, standard 350 discs on the front of my 300 ! Can't remember what make he has, so would be worth asking him.
  3. True but pressure alone isn't the whole story. If that pressure builds slowly and is maintained then it's different if there is normally no pressure and it needs to build very quickly. The first example can tolerate some initial line expansion, the second less so. Anyway, the info from TCR suggests that it is practical. Obviously the lines will be a heap more expensive than £20 worth of tubing, but they'll be much easier/quicker to fit and won't rot in the future.
  4. IE does tabs as well now, think they both copied it from Opera.
  5. Actually, most of the 'bugs' are because Microsoft hasn't followed the standards and Mozilla has. Just another situation where M$ abuse their dominant position.
  6. I like it and it looks like they're fixed most of the memory leaks. Shame very few of the add-ons work for it yet, but I'm sure they will soon. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-beta.html
  7. Supply and demand ! Buy a plastic one and you can use it every year (although probably not with the same person after each year !!!) ;)
  8. I thought about that ages ago and someone told me that they have more 'give' than solid lines so you would get a spongy pedal feel. Not totally convinced as they have miles of this stuff in aircraft but the only way to know for certain is with some real test data.
  9. I had a set of Irridiums and I doubt they lasted 20,000. Got to the stage the car wouldn't even start - went back to NGKs.
  10. No, it is cars from the 'official' list and is from 2001 onwards. So this means the Z32 'escapes' with £8 per day, but the 350Z has to pay £25 !!
  11. We are, but 350Zs are not !!!! It's a cruel world ....
  12. The Z is too old to be CO2 rated. Nothing before 2001 (or perhaps 2002) I think. Hence cheaper road tax for the Z than my 330d.
  13. And don't worry, the environment will fix itself and global warming will go away - as long as we pay more money.
  14. If you are bypassing the rad completely then no, just drain any oil out of the rad side tanks.
  15. When I had my plenum off I replaced all the electrical connectors and the car has never run better.
  16. Not entirely true because I purge 'dead' accounts occasionally. eg ones which may not have completed the registration process properly or ones that are 5+ years old, have never posted and not visited for 5 years etc.
  17. This has been posted on just about every car forum out there.
  18. I think everything after '95 should be ODB-II, not 100% certain though. I'd not worry about it too much, there are very few opportunities for tuning the later model ECU's so many people replace it with an early one instead. Those are not ODB-II, but there is the ConZult which gives you full access.
  19. Is it a Jap import ? The details for many of those are wrong.
  20. LOL, nice try, you used Paypal and even better it looks like you got your Missus to pay ! Well done ;)
  21. Get some toluene and do the job properly !
  22. I thought you needed a skilled plastic surgeon ! ;)
  23. Ha, I've just remembered, it was for a calendar payment from afar ...
  24. But I think I know your sort code and account number, so funny business, right !
