idea 1 : stop slamming ya door

the air pressure just slightly moves the gas pedal and the clicking noise is the micro switch attached to the gas pedal for fuel cut off promting the relay

on, i use it to clear the window, well the demister, i removed the air con, actually i always have it on, maybe it could be the cause of my bad idle issues

A/c raises the revs when it's running, but you said you removed it ....

yeah i have remived, gonna take my idle speed valve to bits at the weekend, could be that, not sure what the clicking relay sound is behind the drivers side of the dashboard?????

try it with the window open to cancel out the air pressure theory ;)

There are some relays in the drivers side corner of the engine bay, have replaced some that have gone bad and they were affecting the tickover, IIRC they control the clutch booster tanks which can also give boost leaks!

My 93 Uk Tt.has Got A Clicking Relay Under The Dash Too? Whats That About?

Under what circumstances ?

Hi, usually most of the time, however i have recently cleaned some elec plugs to help its idle fluctuation, and it seems to have stopped clicking, as of yesterday..

what is this relay , under the dash?
