At the height of the infection honeypot devices on the Internet were being infected within 27 seconds !!!!!!! Protect and Survive (as they used to say).

Never had to use the AA in my time with them, but during my GreenFlag period they were pretty quick and helpful on both occasions.

I don't think you could ever expect any of these type of people to have any more than a basic generic mechanical knowledge, especially with rare cars such as ours. However, the bottom line is that if your car is buggered then they'll take it somewhere for you, rather than it being left on the side of the road for hours|days ! I don't expect them to fix it, but I expect it to be taken home or to somewhere that can - and that's what matters to me. therefore, I have voted yes, because I think it's a great idea, no matter who we may end up with.

8" all round - tyre sizes?
Which is because for some inexplicable Japanese reason 245 profile tyres were not approved in Japan. Hence they used 50 profile tyres on 7.5" wheels all round. In all other countries TT's had 7.5" front and 8.5" rears - like they were intended to have.

8" all round - tyre sizes?
You should really have wider wheels on the rear, 8" isn't really enough to maintain the front rear balance. Putting different sized tyres on the same sized rims is likely to change the tyre profile and alter the handling characteristics.

buying a zx
A few more buyers guides here :- http://www.300zx.org.uk/tech_20.htm You may not need to head across the water, maybe just a bit further south - there are some import companies based in Eire. eg http://www.webcars.net/index.html

Hearing Noises.
The HICAS light light could be due to either low fluid level or maybe your steering wheel is off central.

Vinz fits new vents.
I would tend to agree. I thoutght they were supposed to create a low pressure area out side the bonnet and draw the hot air out, rather than try to force more air into an already pressurised area.

those japanese strut bars..
Of course, about 20mins after I got home. Had to do a bit of subtle filing, but it fits a treat now.

What do you dislike about the 300ZX?
Seatbelts on the doors are an American thing I think. One of those daft safety measures to encourage you to belt up - i.e make it automatic so that you can't sue the manufacturer for your inane stupidity. Many of the US cars I've rented have seatbelts in that place.

What do you dislike about the 300ZX?
Nah, indicators are on the correct side - you can use them whilst changing gear etc. (unless you're a big girls blouse with an auto of course ! :D LOL)

Help, speedo probs
They can be calibrated on a rolling road, or with a bit more dedication using a handheld GPS. However, if the needle is in the wrong place to start with then you will need to get that sorted. How far out do you reckon it is ?

PC help please
I would say that your power supply will be pretty close to the edge with that much stuff on a 350w. As you're using MBM, how accurate are the voltages the power supply is putting out. If they vary too much from spec the horrid things may happen. I fixed a PC just recently where the +12 was about +11.05, by replacing with a decent supply.
