Spyware information & warning
My personal favourite is PestPatrol, but AdAware seems to do a reasonable job - considering I got it as a freebie (cheers Macca!)

Gearbox year
I don't think I have serial numbers for gearboxes, but if you can tell me the VIN from the original car then I should be able to find it.

Hertfordshire Meet December
The Gonorrhoea as us locals always used to call it !! ;) Might be a bit busy with Xmas shoppers etc. How about we go up to the pub on Digswell Hill instead. Think it's called the Red Lion, decent sized car park and summat to eat as well. I ought to be able to make the 7th, will probably be away on the 14th though.

Yeah, probably wouldn't have noticed if my tyres were spinning - what with the smoke from the exhausts ! LOL :)

Which one should i have!!!!!!!
A 1990 car should not have a velour interior, unless it's already been changed for that from a later (Series II) model. Service history is interesting but not really much more than that. It's easily forged and only tells you a little about how fussy the previous owner(s) have been. If you can tell me the VIN for the 1990 car, then I can tell you how old it really is.

RR Results Table
Have modified the forum config so you can now attach .xls files - -makes it much easier for rearranging columns etc to compare flywheel, rw, torque ...

That was my point about cars running later ......

I think it was about 260, but I'll have to check the chart. It should probably be very similar to whoever was a couple of bhp behind me with 325.

ConZult s/w upgrade ?
Anyone else got this and tried it out yet ? Downloaded mine but not had time to test it yet ... what are the differences/bugfixes/improvements ?

Yeah, but that should have made it worse ! LOL Think of all the HP wasted superheating that oil ....

Att: Adamr & Andyp
Yup, me. Warren got 431, I got 312. This time I got about 260 IIRC. Big difference ! Also, not so long ago I got 287 at the other dyno SE use (T&C Engineering) in Colchester.

FAO AdamR - the real results...
Looks to me like the 2nd one down is a factor of 10 above everyone else ! Must've had the afterburners on I reckon ! :D

I think most people were disappointed with the results from that dyno - there was a massive difference when compared with others I've used. Was it just me that noticed that the numbers for allegedly 'standard' cars were going up towards the end of the day and what about the alleged 'flywheel' calculations on the auto boxes - what a joke ! I think if you're graphing the figures you should stick with the more realistic RWbhp numbers. (and remember that all you're really doing is comparing cars on a day, the actual numbers are less important) Would have been interesting to see Warrens '431 rwbhp' on this dyno, I reckon it would have been nearer 360 ...

Calculation for the difference between UK and US BHP figures!
I think they use retired asthmatic pit ponies and we use thoroughbred stallions ! :D

SE RR day - last minute work?
Well I'd like to be replacing my knackered rear shock, fitting my braided fuel lines, testing MarkH's dodgy AFM and maybe even cleaning my car - but likely as not I won't get time to do any of them .... but what I aboslutely must do is fit my switched dual map EPROM in the ECU ...

Ptu?
That would probably depend on where you are based ....

Ill fitting Wheels
Great link ! Didn't Clarkeson do something similar with a Lada/Skoda or whatever ?

Wish me luck...
Good luck and it's great to see you've got your priorities right !

Who makes this Wide Arch Kit?
Was talking to Timmy Turbo last night and he saw this car yesterday around the Ipswich or Colchester area on his way to work. Said when he first saw it he thought it was Andy E's but when he got a better look it was somewhat different.

Consumer input please
Think 'Performance Bikes' but for cars and you might be heading down the right route.

BP Performance fuels
Hmmm, some interesting info, but it's all Aus specific. It would not surprise me AT ALL if there are different formulations for different countries to meet local competion and local enviromental requirements.
