Friday Humour
A man is having a few drinks at a bar when he looks over and notices a drunk guy passed out at a table nearby. The bartender tells him the drunk is Mr. Murphy and asks the man if he could drive Mr. Murphy home. Being a good samaritan, the man agrees. The bartender writes down the address and gives it to him. The man walks over and tries to wake Mr. Murphy but Mr. Murphy is groggy and quite drunk. The man helps Mr. Murphy to his feet and Mr. Murphy falls to the floor in a heap. "Jeez," the man says wondering how anyone could drink so much. He takes Murphy by the arm and practically drags him out to the car. Once there he leans him against the side of his car while he looks for his keys. Mr. Murphy slides down to the ground. The man finds his keys and manages to get Murphy positioned in the car. He then drives to the address the bartender gave him. He opens the passenger door and helps Mr. Murphy out and the guy falls to the ground. Cursing softly, now, the man helps him to his feet and practically drags him to the front door. He lets go of Mr. Murphy to knock on the door and the guy falls down again. He helps him to his feet as Mrs. Murphy answers the door. "Hi, Mrs. Murphy, Your husband had a little too much to drink tonight so I gave him a ride home." "That was nice of you," she says, looking around, "But where's his wheelchair?

Wires Broken!
Sounds like it could be one of the O2 sensor leads to me. Do you have a picture ? You really wanna have these things connected (unless the sensor is broken of course). What do you get if you do an ECU diag ?

NZR Windows XP
I've heard that there are some utilities available that allow you to modify the licence key, say to one such as a Corporate key, that doesn't need activation. My, how useful that would be !

More Billing Pics!!!
Hmmm, looks like my car escaped but I didn't !

"T cut or not T cut....
IT may depend upon what type of paint you have. The metallic/pearls will have a lacquer that may be removed by the T-Cut. If you have a non-metallic then you may be OK if used gently. Bottom line is that T-Cut removes the top layer of paint - you don't wanna do that too many times !

Almost forgot - My highlight of Billing :D
I think the fact they they admitted they needed Viagra tells you everything you need to know about them :D Anyway, Viagra is old hat (helmet ? ;)) now - Levitra is the new Daddy, probably washed down with Ribena and Lucozade. (Gotta earn my bonus one way or another - lol)

odometer stopped working
It's not too bad actually - just be gentle with it.

NZR - IT problem
Not sure whether this will help, but have you tried using windowsupdate.microsoft.com ? And secondly, IMHO, yes XP is significantly better. Most things just 'work' and many more devices are recognised.

Autobox oil cooler
Thanks for that update, wasn't aware of the. The UK spec. Series I model I have looked at definietly didn't have that, and neither did my Jap spec. Series II.

RIP: Steve Hislop
Bad news indeed - a very talented man. Had won so much without getting much recognition outside the sport.

Autobox oil cooler
Some clarity required here I think ... Jap auto car has :- Radiator that has a smaller area than equiv. UK car It has a single tank built into the main rad that is used to cool the autobox oil It has a small engine oil cooler UK/Europe auto car has :- Radiator that has 17% more area the equiv UK car It has two tanks built into main rad for autobox oil cooling It has a much larger engine oil cooler (approx twice the size) It has a diff oil cooler IMHO it is well worth getting a 'proper' autobox oil cooler - many companies that rebuild the boxes will not give a guarantee unless this is done.

Anyone Live In The London/Essex Area??
I might be able to take a look at it after work on Wednesday or Thursday this week, after that I'm away for a while. Let me know details or get the seller to contact me. Andy

Anyone Live In The London/Essex Area??
Yup, that's right, I'm lucky enough to work in Harlow ! (LOL) and am even here right now ... I know of a couple around, silver import and a red UK spec I think. Is it the yellow one on eBay that you're buying ?

Proxes - not impressed !
Yep, that's true. Flat cap, pipe and string-backed gloves are on the way. After next Monday I will have a sensible car that does 50mpg, 45mph, group 1 insurance and carries lots of shopping - NOT !

Have to agree with Tim, we are not judge, jury and executioner. No one should be banned without proof.

Proxes - not impressed !
Well I reckon 300 miles should have taken that off. That's why I wasn't too bothered by the initial wet weather performance. Maybe it's time to adapt my driving style ! ;)

Proxes - not impressed !
I'm in the process of doing that at the moment. When I drove out of the fitting place the rain was chucking it down and I had a number of big moments - I had expected brand new tyres to be better than my slick-effect Bridgestones in the wet, but they weren't. Got home, checked the pressures and they were literally miles out. Sorted that out and the trip to Billing and back was OK, but they still let go on the wet corners. Even this morning on the way to work in the dry I got 'lurches' on quick corners - more pressure fiddling required I think. At this stage all I can think is that people who think Proxes are good (and are prone to opening the throttle occasionally :)) should try Bridgestones. I don't class myself as a lunatic, I don't do donuts and I don't abuse the tyres, but with the manual box I expect to need two sets of rears for one set of fronts and those rears last about 6-7000miles - maybe it's just me !

Proxes - not impressed !
Stability is good, when compared with my previous (completely knackered) S-03's Straightline grip in wet seems ok, but lateral traction is rubbish - slides all over the place when you least expect it and very sensitive to different road surfaces. My shagged S-03's had more grip in the wet ... Seem quieter from a road noise perspective though.

ECU on Ebay
Did you send it to me ? My email was bust for a while ... Do you need the details about where to send the money ? I'll resend it just in case.

Who else is sad enough to be not a Billing and in on a Saturday Night?
Me. Got back from Billing about 20:00. Left at about 18:00, just as it started raining ...

PCV Valves - where do they go ??
Problem is that the springs loose their spring - probably due to the heat etc. If you can't blow through either then it's gummed up with cak and needs cleaning. After cleaning, if you can shake the valve and the inner part rattles then the springs are worn out and it definitely needds replacing.
