  1. me personally wouldnt trust any timing belt on a car even if the owner said it has been changed. every car i have owned i have always replaced the timing belt for my own piece of mind, unfortunatly my z one has had to be changed twice after the first time i mistaken handed over my money toi somebody who only did half a job and it cost me twice.. never again im gonna personally do every one of my timing belts!
  2. a small flat bladed screwdriver to lever the corner out of the wire retainer then another screwdriver to push it back, if you have a magnetic pickup on a telescopic pole that would help loads if you drop one.
  3. absolutely,:lol::lol: when i get good i have 2 spare tt engine blocks i could squeeze on a bar LOL. but think i have a few years before thats happens .... gotta get the diet sorted out first , its all confusing stuff... all this to tone and loose the belly!
  4. Probably more likely to give myself a damn hernia hahahah
  5. :lol::lol::lol:so do i so im hitting the gym 7 days a week LOL:hammer:
  6. i used boot polish on my old leather till i could get hold of replacement new covers, i have removed the leather and replaced but never restored, but if anybody has a damaged boulster i have loads of orignal leather from my old covers which i could cut into patches for a restorer to sew in place...
  7. as i had a couple lying around i thought i would make good use for them LOL. started weight training a couple of weeks ago and found i didnt have quite enough soo saw the pulleys and the pics tell the rest :)
  8. big congratulations ... now it it papa zed or papa zee?? :thumbup:
  9. everyone is struggling with cash, people want to still keep there cars running/upgrading so are being more bolshy to save a few quid. if you can afford to wait you will probably get your money but people are relying on you wanting/needing the cash so will offer a low price.. its all wheeler dealers now.
  10. bloody hell!! i would have given up on that years ago, fair play to you and awesome welding mate!! btw how come you didnt get the shell chemically dipped to get rid of all the paint and rust etc?
  11. cant you hammer on a slightly smaller old socket to try and get another bite on it?
  12. The trouble is they are costy cars. There getting old, there breaking down and parts are not as cheap as compared to our common daily drivers, The country is stuffed and life is hard for many, I'm not flush and I haven't been since owning the z but it's my hobby as well as I'm a but obsessed with the damn thing as it's the best vehicle I have ever owned, I have always said I would store it if I couldn't balance the books, this year is the hardest I have ever had and that's why now I ride a moped to work, it also means I'm not running the lady into the ground and I can try and get some funds up to fix the niggly bits on her.
  13. i personally think its a potential good buy, 2 cars to make one good one and sell the rest of the parts to earn some cash back! if i had 2k thats what i would offer him!
  14. some people dont apply for a badge because they dont want to trouble the system, even tho the stupid arses need them what fooking boils my piss is the ones that have screwed the system and there is sod all wrong with them... my mum had to fight for her badge even tho 5 independent specialists we're on her side 150%
  15. but seriously are you the one pictured on the badge? did you have to go through vast often very painful examinations? are you in pain, mentally ill or is your mobility impaired enough to effect your life. my mum is registered disabled and she is in a lot of pain every day, she has the blue badge and my father is her carer, he parks on the yellows when he has to pick her up from the heath centre chemist etc, but never uses it when he is on his own. he says he is perfectly heathy and dont want to take the spaces as a disabled person may want to use them and they know first hand what its like when some arsehole who isnt dispalying a blue badge parks in a space that they need!
  16. no but you could try for mentally challenged LOL:lol:
  17. Just a complete guess but wouldn't it be pushed through the crank case breather system through pcv s and be burning in the cylinders?
  18. Double check the hose is still connected to the bonnet. Otherwise all your doing is spraying water over your engine :)
  19. if they were that worried then the would have removed it from google maps anyhow... chill out :cowboy:
  20. or couldnt afford to tax them all! hence off road!:tt2:
