Steams Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 You need to remove the metal clip that runs around the bottom of them. Not easy to do I'm afraid. Quote
hellraiser Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 a small flat bladed screwdriver to lever the corner out of the wire retainer then another screwdriver to push it back, if you have a magnetic pickup on a telescopic pole that would help loads if you drop one. Quote

groover Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 They are a pita, without doubt. They should make a tool for the job imo like a 2 small flat bladed driver almost like a fork without the middle prong lol. Quote

MarkDerby Posted May 29, 2011 Author Posted May 29, 2011 ok i did that with one next to the oil filler but it broke the little clip like thing in the middle that retails the clip in plate ... as the other plugs u push the center and it spreys out the side to clear the step clip Quote

MarkDerby Posted May 29, 2011 Author Posted May 29, 2011 there new plugs ... well about 18month ago there abouts Quote
groover Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 You only need to open the clip by a few mill, to clear the side lugs. If you pull the clip ends too far you can either break the centre lug or (ping) lose the clip  Quote
