Im reading time and time again about people having to sell up due to money worries, i kept thinking, its a shame, and thinking about my own money commitments.

I wont bore you with the long story, but im owed around £16000!

Some is from here, as ive let people pay weekly/monthly for things. At the time i could afford it, and its with longstanding members on here i trust. Thats all going well so im happy with that.

The most of it, is from family.

I haven't been paid for 8 weeks due to money waiting to come in from jobs.

We've just had the call to say the big job, we had all our hopes on, isn't going to happen:no:

I dont know when or if im going to get paid for work ive done, and the money ive loaned out.

This isn't a "Im selling my Zed thread", but it may turn into one.

I was meant to be gitting it painted this week, but have put it on hold as i cant pay for it. I know the bodyshop, and he'll let me pay weekly, but with no wages coming in, 2 kids and the wife on maternity pay, i need what im getting from here to pay the bills.

Bad times..

That sucks man. I keep reading these threads and getting concerned myself. I've just moved into a new job, which really does pay quite well, but with the house we live in, two jap cars, 2 kids and the fact we've only been back in the country for a year and a few months, means we are still spending every month.

Then there is the fact Rose isn't happy in her job, she's trying to stick it out until she finds another, but to be perfectly honest I wouldn't blame her if she just exploded and walked out, which would leave us with just the one salary. Albeit a handsome one, gone are the days where one person in the couple can work and the other not. I've come close to selling my Z a couple of times already just to be sensible about it, I'm quite worried that I'll get it just where I want it, or almost there, and then something will happen that means it has to go.

The trouble is they are costy cars. There getting old, there breaking down and parts are not as cheap as compared to our common daily drivers,

The country is stuffed and life is hard for many, I'm not flush and I haven't been since owning the z but it's my hobby as well as I'm a but obsessed with the damn thing as it's the best vehicle I have ever owned, I have always said I would store it if I couldn't balance the books, this year is the hardest I have ever had and that's why now I ride a moped to work, it also means I'm not running the lady into the ground and I can try and get some funds up to fix the niggly bits on her.

Bloody Bankers its there fault bringing the country to its knees and they have been bailed out by us. We still have to live with there bad decisions and big bonuses.

But I do see light at the end of the tunnel, Houses are begining to sell (at the right price)

and builders are starting to build.Still tough times but I think we are through the worst.

everyones in the same boat bro, iv always run bigger less economical cars as they represent such huge value and what you lose at the pumps you make up for by not having to pay so much for them in the first place, but im having to admit defeat now. i cant think of any other country in europe where the populace would sit idly by and watch as succesive govts pile on more and more punitive taxes on fuel and the like....in france they would just down tools and say 'non!!'......

It cost me about 12 quid to fill my Ford 4x4 the other day - from empty. No wonder all the Arabs are driving huge SUV's that do single figure fuel consumption.

But on the other hand, we do live in the greatest country on earth - just ask any of the work-shy, sprog popping, benefit claiming, jail dodging, thieving, useless scum that live down my street!

If it wasn't for having to support all those useless fecks, then we'd all be rich and pay a lot less tax. I'm not having a go at people who actually use jobseekers to see them through a bad patch, or people who really do need the benefit system. I'm talking about the people who choose to do nothing, because its so easy for them not to.

If it wasn't for these people, our country would be great - you don't appreciate it until you live somewhere else!

Don't blame the government for putting up taxes - they're only trying to balance the books - blame the people who don't contribute anything to the system.

too true, too true. its awful to see your pride and joy suffer due to financial problems, i just hope the light at the end of the tunnel is getting closer as it dont seem to be...:sweatdrop:

Leo never have you said a truer thing. England is the greatest country in the world, I've lived in a few others, and came home during the recession, there are quite a few reasons for that.

Hey Guys

I have not been on here for a while but felt I had to add something. We moved to the UAE to work and so far its been ok. We seriously miss the UK though, it really is the best in so many ways that you just take for granted. Seriously come out to some where like here and you realise how good you've got it at home. Cheers

I wont bore you with the long story, but im owed around £16000!

..

Time to call in some of those debts mate, even if they are just part called in, a few hundred quid here, a few hundred quid there... it all adds up.

I too recently had to call in a few debts owed, and although at the time of the loans i was like "yeah mate anytime.." things have now changed and that is just life. I am sure that those you lent it to would do their best to ensure that you are not put at too big a disadvantage for helping them out in the first place.

And you never know, some may even be gratefull for the reminder as it is all to easy to ignore/forget stuff when there is no pressure whatsover.

Keep your chin up bud :thumbup1:

couldn't of put that better myself !!

I've often thought about a mini-gun mounted in the back of a Toyota Hi-Lux, then going to shoot some 'hood-rats'. Just to keep the population in check..

Stop me if I've gone too far!! :scared:

You've gone too far.

However, a laser guided mini-gun on the back of a Toyota Hi-Lux, which recognises Burberry, knows from the size, shape and weight of a persons wallet using next generation sonar technology that they are a dole scrounger and can spot a dole car in someones pocket via this new body scanning technology from a mile away, that's perfect!
