  2. This is another reason car enthusiast sites like this one are so important! Knowing who you can trust with your pride and joy! Really sorry to hear you got ripped off and I hope you get your money back :(
  3. i applied this 3m stuff onto a engine cover and the heat pealed it off.
  4. also report him to facebook they should be able to block his ip from re registering.
  5. just undo the two smaller screws that hold the ecu onto the bracket ;) it then slides forward and then unclip the plugs, easy peasy! i took taga off took out seat (2x 14 mm bolts and 2x 14mm nuts, unplug seat power supply) took out 1 piece of ducting (one plastic push clip and 1 screw) undo the 2 ecu screws slide forward remove 4 plugs from ecu remove ecu reverse with new ecu :) simples,
  6. i bought the series 2 air con pod and ecu off of jeff a couple of weeks ago, well i managed to fit it today, took me all of 45 minutes from opening the garage door to testing it! i even swapped over the housing as it was a little worn on the series 2 one. its a recommended mod imo as you have much more control of the aircon but you do loose the ambiant temp info on the new pod. another mod done to the lady complete :)
  7. Change the bushes and go from there
  8. Fookin ell! Bet that is a beast to drive!
  9. That's ok then as it's been like that for the last 3 years, there is a defineate increase in power, just worried about the long term effects, I always run super unleaded.
  10. Jeff on a non turbo would you say it would be safe to run + 2 adv so 17deg ? Are there any known running issues to look out for?
  11. That's not too hard a plate to fab tbh! It's what you find behind it is the prob!
  12. Thanks guys :) just gotta work out how to fix it back in as I had to remove the lugs to get the screen close enough to be able to still use the touch screen,
  13. can do better then pics ! http://www.ecutalk.com/screenshots.aspx i use a max of 6 dials so there still readable but can read any sensor i think!
  14. to de clutter the dashboard. as some of you know i run a ipaq pda with ecu talk software to give me extra gauges fed info direct from the ecu it also allows me to run basic diagnostics on the car without carrying around a laptop. now as i was using a windowscreen holder i didnt like the cluttered look, having a little brain wave and seeing others putting single gauges in the door vent i decided to see if i could squeeze the screen behind that. now rob came to the rescue when i advertised on here for a spare one and the sod wouldnt accept any cash even for postage!! cheers dude your a legend! anyway i have been messing about with it over the last couple of days and i think i have sorted it, its not perfect but it is functional. if i can be arsed i may re do it but for now my brain hurts and to me it looks ubar cool :) the method: 1.find some thin plastic film such as plastic packaging that headphones come in, 2.stick some window tint on the reverse of it to give a smoked look, 3.remove the directional slats from the vent 4.stick the plastic to the back, 5.dissasemble the ipaq 6.align the screen to the back of the film making sure you can use all of the touchscreen (most fiddly part!!!) 7.hot glue the screen to the vent, 8.add ipaq circuit board to the back of the screen and hot glue again. 9.test, sit back and crack open beer and worry about how to mount it tomorrow :) the good thing is as its a windows pda its all touch screen and customisable:) hoping to get a z logo startup screen on there too

  21. i use a 50 cc moped when its dry to and from my work, its only 6.5 miles each way but it only costs me 7.50 to fill the tank and lasts nearly 9 days, saved me £25 per week compared to driving the z, unfortunately the british weather is not that kind to bikes!
