  1. As the weather forcast is looking poor (as in wet) on Saturday, I will bow out of this.
  2. I'm using Redline MT-90 Gearbox Oil & Redline 75W90 Differential Oil (they are the weights recommended by Redline) and Mobil 1 0W40 for the engine. You will get many opinions on the engine oil to use!
  3. When I had my Ai606 professionally installed I got a Toad certificate and a warranty. I'm not sure how that works for a DIY install or if it even really matters in practice.
  4. I have the Ai606 installation manual if you decide to go with that and DIY.
  5. Not in my UK spec. I had a (very poorly fitted) alarm from another manufacturer when I bought the car from Nissan. I can't remember the make but it wasn't a Toad.
  6. I have a Toad Ai606 alarm/immobiliser with an extra switchable microwave cabin detector for when the targas are off. Been pretty reliable since it was fitted back in '01.
  7. Try this one. It is for the UK/Euro spec non bose system which had a Clarion amp in the boot like yours. EL-93.pdf
  8. *** SOLD **** OEM Bonnet Hinge Covers and Clips. Covers are surface worn but are otherwise undamaged. £15 including P+P (to the UK only).
  9. OEM Radio Finisher Bezel (68260-40P00) and Centre Finisher Trim (68261-30P00). These items now cost ~£150 and ~£27 new respectively. The Bezel has *very* light surface marks from a removable head unit (arrowed in photo). Otherwise both items are in VGC with no damage to the Bezel's four mounting screw tabs. £50 plus P&P (to the UK only).
  10. When are you planning to drive this car on the roads again Chris?
  11. Just make a cutout in the duct to clear the indicator body. This is Stillen duct, and you can see the cutout.
  12. The stock ducts will fit using the mounting points on the IC, but unmodified they will not cover the entire face which rather defeats the exercise. The photo shows a stock 99 spec duct to illustrate the point.
  13. The R33 CC's are the smaller types to get.
  14. Yes, I did - then I put one back in! https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?172676-Refit-Carbon-Canister
  15. Once you have removed the CC, there is plenty of space behind the IC with the stock overflow tank in place.
  16. Worth considering this: Z32 5-speed: 1st - 3.214 2nd - 1.925 3rd - 1.302 4th - 1.000 5th - 0.752 Diff - 3.69 TT or 4.08 NA Z33 6-speed: 1st - 3.784 2nd - 2.324 3rd - 1.624 4th- 1.271 5th - 1.000 6th - 0.794 Diff - 3.538 Z32 1st is already pretty low and top gear on the Z33 is even taller than the Z32.
  17. What point are you trying to make here? I'm not defending Ash's business practices here, but I do respect his technical competence. Unlike nearly all the "competitors" making similar "designs" (read copies in most cases of his products), he did back up his designs with extensive testing and published them on TT.net.
  18. They are different core sizes.
  19. In my experience all 6.5" speakers when using the OEM metal speaker brackets Mike. The MDF spacer rings (RW-SR-16) need routing to create a chamfered 45deg edge to them to fit. If you don't have a router I will do them for you. The guide looks good. Take care when removing the window switch escutcheons othewise you can break the plastic spring tabs that clip them in place
  20. For example? I guess that's why SZ have invested and made their own version of the AshSpec Massives then? https://www.specialtyz.com/sz-smics.html http://www.ashspecz.com/shop/prodInfo2.php?prodID=17
  21. Another UK spec bites the dust. https://www.ebay.co.uk/dsc/m.html?LH_TitleDesc=1&_nkw=%5B00004731%5D&_ssn=morgan-autosalvage https://morgan-autosalvage.co.uk/parts?query=300zx
  22. One of the forum's great threads!
  23. They are bolted in place on tabs welded to the pipes.
