  1. In the first instance, make sure that the upper and lower rubber dust boots (pictures 6 and 7 in the guide below) are present and correctly fitted to stop road and transmission noise getting into the cabin. http://www.ttzd.com/tech/bushingstech.html
  2. Best wishes on your Birthday Ian!
  3. That's great to see (and hear) Nick - really pleased for you. It has been quite a journey!
  4. If you are using an aftermarket alloy radiator - the lower coolant hose runs parallel to the front anti roll bar across the radiator (Stillen and Koyo in my case). I losely clipped a cable tie around them both at the mid point. Picture shows part of the run.
  5. For reference these are the parts#'s for the late 99/00 R, S and 300ZX cars.
  6. Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to tonight's episode of...
  7. Did a bit more research on this. The Japanese publication "I love Z32 Fairlady Z" has a section on the JDM "99" series. One of the pictures has a wheel which when blown up has the manufactures logo in a blurred outline. However I am willing to bet that it is Bridgestone. Bridgestone is a Japanese company making top quality tyres so Nissan is likely to use them to supply the JDM factory builds. You can make out the tread in the image so it shouldn't be to hard to come up with the type.
  8. JDM "99" marketing brochure (here) dosen't include any detail regarding tyre manufactures. Translated:
  9. It does look like a nice venue (on a sunny day!) Hopefully next year things will be back to "normal" and there will be more space available to exhibit.
  10. Nice! Does the rear spoiler have any other signs of bubbling/swelling? With someone operating the boot/fuel leaver does the fuel lid release pin retract properly? The boot opens normally? There is a small adjustement with the leaver. Is the fuel lid spring clip still in place?
  11. Well done on getting the swap over done. If you let me have the VIN I will look up the build date etc.
  12. What a great result for the Z32 community!
  13. That area of rust damaged is a lot less than some I've seen Alex.
  14. Well done on your perseverance, I can only imagine how that looked!
  15. $250,000 with five days to go.
  16. Former team drivers are commenting (in "Bid & Comment") on their experiences of driving this car. Jeremy Dale: Not sure who is driving here, but still worth a watch.
  17. $125,000 with 7 days to go.
  18. One of the seven factory supported Z32 race cars constructed by Clayton Cunningham Racing for IMSA GTO competition in the US. This car is chassis number 004 and was raced extensively by Steve Millen during '90/'91. The auction description, photos and the "Bid and Comment" thread has lots of information about the car. A rare chance for someone to own a lovely piece of Nissan motorsports history. How high will she go? https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1990-nissan-300zx-twin-turbo-56/
  19. Part# https://z32enjoytheride.wordpress.com/2014/07/19/post-23-97-version-r-steering-wheel/
  20. Nice tube welding! Just how quiet is that system?
  21. Got it now, I read 5mm change was axial not radial. So you will have an extra 5mm unswept area on the outside of the disc now.
  22. Nice wheels Andy. How did you deal with the disc offset after moving the caliper by 5mm?
  23. You will almost certainly "get caught" for the duty these days. You will be charged duty (4.5%) on the declared value of the goods and then VAT (20%) on the goods, the shipping and duty combined. Plus a courier handing admin fee for customs clearance. BTW are you planning on doing the work yourself? If so, this is a compehensive write up for reference: https://conceptzperformance.com/wiki/index.php/Timing_Belt_Service
