  1. MOT history shows that the last MOT expired in Sept 2009. No other vechicle details on DVLA system.
  2. Best wishes on your Birthday Tom!
  3. Do you happen to know why SZ have discontinued the flywheel (and spares)?
  4. Coming along nicely. Who makes that shed?
  5. It does look that way, although I would have thought new stock may well be available from fitters in the UK. I have found it a reliable system. https://www.autodefence.co.uk/blog/toad-ai606-now-obsolete.html My Ai606 siren is currently fitted here, but I plan to relocate to under the headlight bucket in order to make space for the 2.5" IC pipework.
  6. As you are sticking with '89 OEM F&R losing the sideskirts will restore the car's front to rear side profile below the accent stripe. Sideskirts also have a nasty habit of disguising rust damage and need to come off to access and repair anyway.
  7. Nice work, great to see the car's restoration coming along Alex.
  8. Wow, they still turn up in Nissan's inventory! If it is of help, when you come to fit it I can help with "best practice" to stop water getting in and damaging it.
  9. As Andy says quite a common fault. Replace with a new sender. On RHD cars the sensor is located on the n/s of the engine block (picture in link below) near the oil pan and looks like this: https://conceptzperformance.com/wiki/index.php/Oil_Pressure_Sending_Unit I recently bought one from these folks who were the cheapest I could find at the time: https://www.importcarparts.co.uk/parts-info?id=10165
  10. Best wishes on your Birthday!
  11. Another thing to check are the heat shields on the downpipes. The fixings can fail around the head of the bolts from heat cycles and/or corrosion. and allow them to rattle. I had the same symptoms (and fault) on my UK spec with a low speed metallic rattle which would go away with some revs.
  12. In the first instance, make sure that the upper and lower rubber dust boots (pictures 6 and 7 in the guide below) are present and correctly fitted to stop road and transmission noise getting into the cabin. http://www.ttzd.com/tech/bushingstech.html
  13. Best wishes on your Birthday Ian!
  14. That's great to see (and hear) Nick - really pleased for you. It has been quite a journey!
  15. If you are using an aftermarket alloy radiator - the lower coolant hose runs parallel to the front anti roll bar across the radiator (Stillen and Koyo in my case). I losely clipped a cable tie around them both at the mid point. Picture shows part of the run.
  16. For reference these are the parts#'s for the late 99/00 R, S and 300ZX cars.
  17. Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to tonight's episode of...
  18. Did a bit more research on this. The Japanese publication "I love Z32 Fairlady Z" has a section on the JDM "99" series. One of the pictures has a wheel which when blown up has the manufactures logo in a blurred outline. However I am willing to bet that it is Bridgestone. Bridgestone is a Japanese company making top quality tyres so Nissan is likely to use them to supply the JDM factory builds. You can make out the tread in the image so it shouldn't be to hard to come up with the type.
  19. JDM "99" marketing brochure (here) dosen't include any detail regarding tyre manufactures. Translated:
  20. It does look like a nice venue (on a sunny day!) Hopefully next year things will be back to "normal" and there will be more space available to exhibit.
  21. Nice! Does the rear spoiler have any other signs of bubbling/swelling? With someone operating the boot/fuel leaver does the fuel lid release pin retract properly? The boot opens normally? There is a small adjustement with the leaver. Is the fuel lid spring clip still in place?
  22. Well done on getting the swap over done. If you let me have the VIN I will look up the build date etc.
  23. What a great result for the Z32 community!
