  1. HKS filters are the dry type (don't oil). HKS state replace every 6 months or 6K miles. I do mine every 12 months as I do less that 3k per year. Be wary of HKS filters on eBay as a lot are not what they seem (ie fake). I have bought from SumoPower as they are an official HKS distributor: http://www.sumopower.com/product/70001-ak022 (other colors/sizes are available from them).
  2. See what happens on the 20th March.
  3. So what sort of style/design are you drawn to?
  4. They look nice in this state:
  5. These guys were made from .032" (.08mm) aluminium. The pictures in the link also show the construction method. http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2341516/My-latest-project-Intercooler-ducting.html
  6. Well before you do that how about some prep work: http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/technical/view/922678/The-6-Ps-Proper-Preparation-Prevents-Piss-Poor-Performancegt.html
  7. Best wishes on your Birthday Joel!
  8. You will then find that the space left behind makes for a good place to put HID ballasts.
  9. Does the odometer work?
  10. Plus the 2.5" SMICs...
  11. As you asked about SZ 3" downpipes this is Greg@SZ detailed post on them. http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=general&msg_id=2033426 They do make a difference even with 2.5" for the rest of the system. You can also see follow up posts from folks using some/all of the 3" parts in their cars.
  12. I think you need to decide what level of power increase you are aiming for. What have you in mind? The Z1 2.5" design is 1st gen and was superseded by the SZ/Labree 2.5" design (see CZP). But again depending on you goals could still work for you.
  13. Here you go: http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2374912/SZ-3-expansion-vs-AMSAlloy-Toyz-3-Split-Down-Pipe.html

  15. See if this helps Simon...
  16. Rear short, front long.
  17. Welcome to the Club Steve - nice colour BTW!
  18. Thank you all for your kind birthday wishes - it is much appreciated!
  19. You still need to apply and pay for an ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization) to holiday in the states.
  20. Have a read of this from Greg@SZ http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/2421113/I-do-not-recommend-blow-off-valves-on-the-Z.html
  21. Have you checked that the max boost setting is still set to 22psi. Also you may have a high/low boost function selectable on your EBC (mine does) with it now in low boost setting.
  22. Bose did change the speaker size used (I can't remember the years). Just look out for 6.5 " type. The physical boxes and mounting points to the car are the same for 2+0 and 2+2. The ports are different sizes L&R as the boxes are different volumes for the bass reflex design.
  23. That sounds like a lot of fun Nick! Are you going with others or a solo trip? Simon,Joel and myself did a 5 day trip last year to the south of France and had a blast (we posted a thread up here). Look forward to reading about your trip and seeing the photos.
  24. They are the same. They do have different part numbers, but that seems to be down to the electronics Bose put in them for 2+0 and 2+2 models.
