  1. For visual reference as to which PTU you have (with the early types prone to the failure you have described):
  2. Congratulations Derek! Look forward to seeing photos of the car in stunning Highland scenery.
  3. Convertible with '99 spec rear spoiler...
  4. You going to keep it that way?
  5. More information: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/vehicle-tax-direct-debit
  6. You can pay monthly by direct debit: https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-tax-direct-debit No paper tax discs anymore.
  7. Pre '94 models have two bleed nipples on the ABS unit (marked F and R). Make sure you follow bleed order and procedure as per FSM: http://www.300zx.co.uk/tech/manual/manual/br/005.gif I always do the full bleed (calipers and ABS) when changing brake fluid, gives the whole system a fresh fill.
  8. 2. Andrew/AndrewG
  9. When I installed the 5 channel amp in the boot (on the right side near ABS unit) I needed 6 metres for the +12v supply from battery for the amp power supply and 1 metre for the amp eartling. 5 metres for each audio channel from headunit to amp (they come prepared in 5m lengths with RCA plugs). I used about 10m for wiring the door speakers and rear speakers and about 2 meters for the subwoofer (left side of boot). Avoid CCA (copper coated aluminum) cables for the power supplies.
  10. Where are you locating the amp(s) for the speakers and subwoofer?
  11. Now that is a nice sight - well done!
  12. Best wishes in your Birthday Craig!
  13. Very nice, long time since I have seen a brand new wing! I'm curious, what sort of packaging was it sent in?
  14. Have you fitted Nismo bushes in the rear subframe, or point to someone who has?
  15. Nismo rear subframe bushes are not listed for a Z32 application, this is their catalog entry: nismo z32 suspension bushes.pdf
  16. There’s a lot of overtime in that lot Ash! Look forward to seeing the car when it is all fitted.
  17. They are handed left and right.
  18. Yes I should have been more succinct, but who knows what is hidding away in a Nissan warehouse somewhere!
  19. HICAS shares fluid with power steering system and as such only has a cooler at the front of the car for Euro/UK spec cars. On Euro/UK spec cars the differential oil cooler is located near the differential itself at the rear of the car (JSpec cars don't have PS or differential oil coolers).
  20. The four subframe bushes are not available as OEM (unless you get a new subframe from Nissan). So you have a choice of polybushes, rubber (only from Whiteline afik) or solid (delrin or metal). There is also an option of retaining the (possibly worn out) OEM subframe bushes and using bushing collars. Nismo bushes are not available for this application. Search for 'whiteline' if you want more info on them.
