# 4 - what am I doing? Little build thread!
Simon this is the seller I mentioned to you on TT.net (last para): http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/1992598/Nissan-vs-eBay-pinstripe-ltunbelievably-long-lolamgt.html eBay listing: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300ZX-TURBO-NISSAN-LOWER-STRIPES-1990-1997-300-ZX-2-2-/152023851841?hash=item236553e341:m:mCZwuUh2UhNYUkTkM5Q58qQ This is the eBay listing which you originally referred me to. I bought a roll (CHARCOAL) from them. Unfortunately they have stopped trading on eBay, but the company is still trading. Might be worth a call. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/-/321196385398? http://www.auragraphics.com/

Thanks for taking the time to put the videos together Ali, nice mementoes.

What did you do to your zed today?
Simon very kindly dropped off the Toshio Yamashita (Yama san) signed centre arm rest underside today. Having travelled all the way to ZCON in the US, here it is back in situ - really chuffed to bits. Lovely addition to the car - thanks again Simon.

engine in safe mode
With code 55 how do you know the engine is in safe mode? What do you mean by "reset tps"?

clutch/gearbox linkage
In the first instance, try putting some grease on the clutch fork pivot ball/fork interface. You can get at it via the clutch fork cover on the bellhousing (by the slave cylinder). Put a blob of lithium grease (high melting point) on the end of a stick and apply. Sounds daft but it worked for me. Otherwise your clutch slave cylinder may be sticking and need replacement.

Turbo timer delete?
Have a look and see what was done. Greddy listed a specific harness for the 300ZX: http://www.greddy.com/products/total-tune-up/turbo-timers/filter:model:300ZX/

Turbo timer delete?
Instruction manual for Greddy GTT2: http://www.greddy.com/upload/file/FATT.pdf If you have the Greddy 300ZX harness you can unplug and remove otherwise undo the hardwired splices and restore to original condition.

Boxhill to Brighton run - Sunday 2nd July
Lovely hot day out by the seaside. Good run from Boxhill to the coast (and back). Great to see you all and thanks to Howard for organising the event. Gary's very rare manual UK spec in EH7 (Yellow Pearl Metallic) in great condition. Built August '90. Spoiler finally attached! What better place to have lunch...

Fuel problem
If by that you mean an OEM ECU with a Blitz EPROM (and mapping) and Blitz stickers on the box then Blitz maps are typically pretty agressive and designed for high octane Japanese fuel (100 octane).

What did you do to your zed today?
Nismo 555s are pintle injectors. If you want pintle less injectors you will need to go for the Nismo/Tomei/HKS 740cc type. The 615cc pintle less injectors have been largely been superseded by the 740cc types for Z32 applications but are still available from some vendors.

Barn find in France
Yes, Hubert (Hub280ZX) gave an explanation here on JDM vs UK/Euro specs: https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?173162-Back-in-the-UK-for-short-period-to-liquidat-RE-my-High-Spec-300zx-Todays-Values&p=1777133&viewfull=1#post1777133

What did you do to your zed today?
Sure. As Joel has pointed out 555s have old style connectors.

Fuel problem
The GT 636 includes a two circuit immobiliser. The picture below is a (poor) copy of the fitting instructions in english. You can see that a fuel pump relay "cut" is shown (circled in red).

Fuel problem
To help you trace the fault I've attached the full ECCS diagram (in colour). The fuel pump circuit is on the right. This is a hi-res image so use "view image" or similar to see in 4167×1760. When you say you removed the alarm/immobilizer what did you do to restore the circuit(s) "cut" by it? Depending on make/model, immobilizers often include the fuel pump circuit.

Why do you want to go smaller that stock 16"?

What did you do to your zed today?
Much neater (and more secure) clamps than the old screw type. On order too.

Wonderful! Thanks for getting Yama San to sign it Simon. Can't wait to see it back in situ - very OEM+
