  1. Cut them off in situ (and tidied up) similar to this photo:
  2. What a lovely looking little red shorty!
  3. Looking good Simon. Don't forget to fit your Liber-t tag!
  4. Did you disconnect the o2 sensors to test? Here is a useful guide on boost leak location (or vacuum leak when off boost): http://www.thumper300zx.com/z32/boostleaks/boost_leak_guide.htm 5 psi is considered the safe maximum for pressurising intake system whilst testing.
  5. Lovely looking car and show Gary - well done!
  6. Hunting diagnostics (2) from FSM step 1 - check 02 sensor connections: ec70-71.pdf
  7. You might find one layer is enough as there is not much of a gap between the trim and the duct.
  8. There is about as much chance of you doing that as fitting one of these on your steering wheel:
  9. Do you mean nissangenuine.com? Then yes - Endon Services. It is worth checking both as although they are the same company the prices can vary for the same part.
  10. Re detonation sensor replacement in stock location with engine in car: http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/technical/view/1094808/Changing-the-knock-sensor-after-removing-the-transmission.html It can be done: http://twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/technical/view/786546/Detonation-sensor-replacement---success.html
  11. The items circled in red are the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valves - air not water.
  12. Many thanks to Howard and Stephen. Looking forward to another great day at Beaulieu (as always).
  13. I know, I was actually thinking of between now and then and in particular September.
  14. I haven't, but here are general tips (with pics on what had to be cut away): http://s95014253.onlinehome.us/63104/155253.html http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/main/view/1014990/Injector-Dremel-method-pics-for-reference.html Removal tips: http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/main/view/1049665/Injector-removal-secretsdremel-technique.html Connector clips: http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/main/view/1015075/Injector-clip-removal-will-be-an-easier-part-of-the-plenum.html For the future as you are sticking with pintle injectors for now: https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?171664
  15. Well at least you will be able to keep your b%&@# chilled Andy!
  16. Simon this is the seller I mentioned to you on TT.net (last para): http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/1992598/Nissan-vs-eBay-pinstripe-ltunbelievably-long-lolamgt.html eBay listing: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300ZX-TURBO-NISSAN-LOWER-STRIPES-1990-1997-300-ZX-2-2-/152023851841?hash=item236553e341:m:mCZwuUh2UhNYUkTkM5Q58qQ This is the eBay listing which you originally referred me to. I bought a roll (CHARCOAL) from them. Unfortunately they have stopped trading on eBay, but the company is still trading. Might be worth a call. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/-/321196385398? http://www.auragraphics.com/
  17. Thanks for taking the time to put the videos together Ali, nice mementoes.
  18. Simon very kindly dropped off the Toshio Yamashita (Yama san) signed centre arm rest underside today. Having travelled all the way to ZCON in the US, here it is back in situ - really chuffed to bits. Lovely addition to the car - thanks again Simon.
  19. With code 55 how do you know the engine is in safe mode? What do you mean by "reset tps"?
  20. In the first instance, try putting some grease on the clutch fork pivot ball/fork interface. You can get at it via the clutch fork cover on the bellhousing (by the slave cylinder). Put a blob of lithium grease (high melting point) on the end of a stick and apply. Sounds daft but it worked for me. Otherwise your clutch slave cylinder may be sticking and need replacement.
  21. Have a look and see what was done. Greddy listed a specific harness for the 300ZX: http://www.greddy.com/products/total-tune-up/turbo-timers/filter:model:300ZX/
  22. Instruction manual for Greddy GTT2: http://www.greddy.com/upload/file/FATT.pdf If you have the Greddy 300ZX harness you can unplug and remove otherwise undo the hardwired splices and restore to original condition.
  23. Lovely hot day out by the seaside. Good run from Boxhill to the coast (and back). Great to see you all and thanks to Howard for organising the event. Gary's very rare manual UK spec in EH7 (Yellow Pearl Metallic) in great condition. Built August '90. Spoiler finally attached! What better place to have lunch...
