  1. The 300ZX Enthusiast's Companion Book!
  2. Well done James! Look forward to reading the article.
  3. Now that would be a sight to behold! BTW UK specs didn't go on sale until spring 1990.
  4. Different friction compounds. Bluestuff was their first "race" pad superseded by the NDX type. NDX pads are marked on the back face as below:
  5. Yes, they share the same part#
  6. Found another picture I had taken - Zedfest '09.
  7. Welcome to the Club Dave! If you PM your VIN number I can give you the build date for your car and confirm the part number for an OEM '89 spec spoiler.
  8. Bluestuff NDX pads have very good bite from cold (the coefficient of friction is > .6μ when cold) which is unusual for "race" pads which normally have poor braking performance when cold and only start performing when the pads and disks have come up to temperature. I've used them for a while now and have been pleased with their performance so far for road use. They are quiet and after bedding in properly have low dusting. They are also pretty kind to the disks (low rate of wear).
  9. They won't have passed R90 for applications where they were being used as direct replacements for factory fitted pads in an otherwise stock setup. The R90 compliance testing relies on comparing the performance of replacement pads with those originally fitted. In the case of aftermarket BBKs with completely new larger discs, calipers and pads it is not possible to compare like with like and so R90 doesn't apply.
  10. Bluestuff NDX are not the same as plain Bluestuff and the two are often conflated. NDX pads work fine for road use. As for ECE R90, when I checked a while back it only applied to the original factory fitted pads and not pads fitted to aftermarket calipers (like AP and Ksport) used on the road. Has this changed?
  11. How worn are your discs? You might also consider EBC Bluestuff NDX pads. I use them and so does BigH to good effect.
  12. Can you take a photo of the markings on top of the relay? This looks to to be the same (in 9v form): http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3V-5V-6V-9V-12V-24V-48V-DC-Mini-Power-Relay-SPDT-10A-PCB-Mount-5-Pins-SONGLE-UK/271897325453?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D46150%26meid%3D4ad4b8a1c591443ea22b3bd45fddf905%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D6%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D192028926270&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851
