  1. These are two pages from the Brian Long book "300ZX 350Z The Z-car story" which covers changes to the MY99 models.
  2. A picture would help... What is the model number on the plate? It is unique to each car produced. I am using the Nissan FAST database to lookup the car's details which includes the build date. Also, are you sure the V is not a U
  3. Can you take photo of your VIN plate and post up here? You can blank out the last two digits for security. I would expect your VIN to start with JN10RGZ32V00038XX
  4. Assuming you have a stock leaver then it may be installed the wrong way round. https://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?180763-Gear-stick-position
  5. Have your mechanic check the starter motor mountings. It is not unknown for the lower bolt to be overtightened and the bell housing threads damaged and/or stripped. Over time this allows the starter motor to move away from the bell housing and the teeth on the flywheel giving the symptoms you have described.
  6. BSPT is the common tapered thread type used in Japan. You will need to use thread sealant (as the factory did). The difference between NPT and BSPT are the thread angles (angle across the flanks of threads). An NPT male will fit into a BSPT fitting and vice versa but they will not seal without a sealant.
  7. http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/main/view/937664/anyone-have-the-pitch-and-thread-sizes-of-the-pcv-valve.html
  8. Welcome to the Club Tony! When you are able, PM me the VIN code and I will lookup the build date.
  9. Welcome to the Club Scott! The door mirror sails are white (should be grey) and the rear spoiler is missing its black stripe which suggests part/all of the car has had a respray. Also make sure that the VIN plate (near to the o/s headlight) and chassis number plate on the firewall (near the brake master cylinder) are present and match.
  10. You finally decided to remove all that excessive (and very heavy) sound deadening!
  11. If you go to the vendor's website you can print the car's details as a pdf which includes the registration: L69RKW https://www.my-next-car.co.uk/detail_pdf.php?id=1383918 The MOT history available is: NISSAN 300 ZX - Check MOT history.pdf
  12. Assorted pictures from my visit to the show yesterday with Howard. Great to meet everyone who was there and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Well done to Joel and Craig for presenting their cars in such a great light. Small stand maybe but told a good story.
  13. One for the the "Autumn Pics" thread.
  14. They do make V6's though...
  15. Sell the 2+2 and let someone else enjoy the car as it is now and start afresh with a 2+0.
  16. The fuel pump relay is located in the drivers footwell behind the trim panel next to the door. If you have a conZult you can also release the fuel pressure using the s/w tool.
  17. If you are feeling particularly flush here is a genuine titanium blank for sale: http://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/d144666541
  18. Genuine titanium keys have the part number KEY00-00111 and were discontinued after the end of Z32 production. They very occasionally turn up from private sellers with asking prices to match.
  19. You might as well replace both for that price: https://conceptzperformance.com/nissan-infiniti-nissan-oem-heater-core-coolant-hose-set-nissan-300zx-90-96-z32-92400-30pkt_p_959.php
  20. Paint code will be on your VIN plate. AG2 in the example below.
  21. According to the Speciality Z site you don't need to remove the VTC system when using JWT camshafts: http://specialtyz.com/shop/300zx/jwt-camshafts.html "Please be sure to remove the valves located in the back of your stock intake cams. They are REQUIRED to be transferred over to the new cams. If you do not do so you will lose the amazing Nissan VTC system."
  22. One of the heater core hoses?
  23. Rather this - "The only way prices are going to rise is if people are prepared to pay more for them." - time will tell.
