  2. I had exactly the same symptoms matey, so got shut, fitting my manwell conversion at the mo, just got the final parts off the postman, yay! Gutting, but not the end of the world, and yeah, it is a pain in the arrse as they do tend to 'just go' with no warning!....
  3. could be the lifters mate, has it just started, or gradually got worse?
  4. That's exactly what it is, or was :-) Doing a manwell conversion, had the big steel bad boy wedged in, but, managed to eventually drill it in 2 places and collapse it in on it's self, ball ache, but job done, and done well, new brass bushing in place now, which compared to the steel jobby will be a piece of p1ss to remove...... :-) Cheers guys.....
  5. Hey all, doing my manwell conversion, just wondering, has anyone got any tips for removing the auto pilot/spiggot bushing? Nightmare, doesn't wanna budge!!!
  6. That's ok then, got the box etc. off already, looks like it may have been leaking a little bit, but could be oil from the TC.... I'll change it anyways, cheers....
  7. Hiya chaps, pretty numb question really, but, can the rear crank oil seal (gear box end) be changed without droppin the sump? Is it just a case of pulling the old one out and popping a new one in? Cheers....
  8. The underneath of the car will need to be undersealed too, they don't put salt on there roads over there due to the weather, which can rot it over here.... (I think?)
  9. Do you mean the holes the gear box would normally fasten to? They will be fine mate, just use all 4, I bought some bolts the correct thread but too long, and packed them out with washers so as much thread of the bolt as possible was used.... HTH.
  10. I'm gonna buy em anyways, dirt cheap compared to nissan! If anyone wants some, PM me....... Probably work out about a quid each ish....
  11. Yeah, allen key, anyone interested?
  12. The guy who re-bored my block, said that (non-specific to Zeds) I should drive it below 4000rpm for between 500 and 1000 miles, using crappy 'running in oil', then put ya good stuff in............ Probably no use to ya is this info, but ya never know :-)
  13. As ya'll know, manual flywheel bolts are crazy expensive from nissan, but, I have managed to source some, 30mm length (excluding head, originals are 27mm), M10 metric fine, 1mm pitch, 12.9 HT bolts, but hex heads, outer diameter of head is 16 mm... £40.02 + vat and postage, for 50! (the company is in england) 2 questions... 1. Does anyone with more knowledge than me know if they will do the job? 2. And, if they do, does anyone need some and wants to chuck in? Tudor...
  14. At the risk of sounding a bit dense, what is the difference between a Thatcham Cat1 and Cat2 alarm, and which is the best??? Tudor...
  15. I had the same problem, turned out there was a leak on the fuel rail, just before the dampener, couldn't smell fuel when driving, found it by accident when fixing something else! Might be worth a look mate...
  16. Oh yeah, the O2 sensors, was slightly drunk when i posted that reply, haha:duffer::duffer::duffer:
  17. I think they are under the ashtray/centre console, think they go into a black box of some sorts, take the console off and you'll see the braided cables, then follow them to the end, I think! HTH...
  18. Thanks alot buddy, seeing the guy in the morning, so good to know what I'm asking for! Cheers palski......
  19. Hi guys, does anyone know the length of the manual flywheel bolts? (excluding the head) I know they are M10 metric fine, and 12.8 high tensile, have a friend who might be able to get me some, but need to know the length, as i don't want to cutting any down (for obvious reasons)... Cheers guys.... Tudor...
  20. I agree mate, had the same problem myself, couldn't get above 2nd, sucks, but Mr Manwell sorted it out  At least ya got a spare box!
  21. sounds daft mate, but there are 2 interchangeable plugs next to each other, and it's easy to unplug the wrong one, i've done it before, duh :-)
  22. haha, great minds think alike mate
  23. the balance bar isn't on there either, unless it was remove for the fit and you still have it mate...
