  1. I've got a mines, was on when I got her :o
  2. I got stung right on the tip of my index finger t'other week in the beer garden, little basterd was on my neck, tried to get it off and it violated me, first time being stung, and it really hurts! Also, yesterday, whilst under the Zed, wrestling with the gearbox, one flew right into my ear, you've never seen anyone move a gearbox and jump out from under a car so quick I tell ya!
  3. I kind of need a bit of advice, from someone in the 'Know How'.... Any one on here fancy a chat about something driving related? :nono: By the way, I am completely innocent, wasn't in my Zed, was in a 1.0 Micra! Thing is, the L.A.P.D. (the FEDS) aren't seeing like that, so I'm after a bit of advice........... Free half hour consultation? Tudor...
  4. Aaaahhh, got it now, they go in place of the original elbows coming from the turbo.... Numpty... Is that an easy fit with the engine in? I have had mine out 3 times now so should know these things :xxx: but, to be fair, it is friday night! :duffer::duffer::duffer:
  5. Just having a goosey gander round flea bay, and saw these, what are the twin end bits supposed to attach to? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-300ZX-Z32-TURBO-DECAT-DE-CAT-DOWNPIPE-EXHAUST_W0QQitemZ220448043593QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item3353ba3249&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14
  6. Have you checked the connector isn't gunked up, or broken? Loom? Maybe PTU? I know that's not much help, but I'm sure many other folk will be here soon for ya pal! :-)
  7. Lol... Cheers, the diff looked like the place, but thought I'd check first....
  8. Where is the best place to jack the whole back end up without doing damage? I have two jacks, but was wondering if there was a central place? Cheers...
  9. Does the pilot bushing need to be replaced if ya pull the gear box? The one in at the mo has only done 20 odd miles.....
  10. Could be the rocker/cam cover seal leaking and dripping on to the exhaust, or maybe the oil feed to the turbo doing the same, just a thought mate...
  11. Have a look at the fuel pipes on the top of the plenum, right near the balance bar, I had a similar problem, they were leaking, turn the engine over or start it, and have a look at them and a sniff around, see if you cam smell where it's leaking.... HTH.
  12. I will check the ECU connector first thing in the morning, if no different, then that's another thing eliminated...... Thanks again peeps.... There is a lot of bodgery and lots of insulation tape, looks like someone has butchered the wiring loom to incorporate something that is no longer on the car, the entire car inside and out is like someone used a chainsaw instead of a screw driver, but I have rectified and repaired 95% of it as good if not better than original, took me two years mind, but getting there, get her running right, couple of brake pipes, rear fog light, clutch, MOT, insurance, happy days........ Can't wait, just wish she would stop missing!!!!
  13. I once saw a 911 turbo, with the number "F81 SPY" = FBI Spy, looked sick, bet that's worth a few bob n'all, just thought I'd pop that in there :-)
  14. Well, I would say it is fine, but it could be smoother on idle i guess, does vibrate a little, I've nothing to compare it to, and it's the best it's been, but it probably could be smoother... I have had the ECU out, I will check the connector tomorrow, and blitzing all 6 coil packs sounds like a good idea, but I have shelled out loads lately, pockets are getting a little thin, not that I mind, can't wait to finish her, just wouldn't like to buy anything I don't have to, but it's gotta be either one of them or the PTU I'm thinking? I'll keep persevering, and I'll keep ya posted.... Cheers...
  15. it's a DIL (dual in-line) not sure how many pins tho
  16. It does seem to be alot worse at low revs when you put a load on the engine etc., say setting off from slightly moving in 2nd gear, put ya foot down and splutter miss miss, does eventually pick up speed, then after about 4000 rpm, seems to be better, but still does miss, just not half as bad....
  17. Yep, that did cause a couple of cylinders to drop out before, but now you can wiggle everything to your hearts content, and she still runs lovely, till you take her for a spin....
  18. Right, I've cleaned all the injector connections up, all shiny and new, took a few hours of back ache (both male and female conns.) and she's still missing! I think the only things left in equasion are the PTU or a dodgy injector, but I can't isolate which cylinder, if it's the same one all the time is missing, as it only does it whilst driving, ticks over and revs perfectly..... But it does back fire quite a lot too.... Any thoughts? Oh, and for some strange reason, the clutch is working perfectly today! Very strange, new one has already been bought anyways :-( Any thoughts on the miss-fire travesty??? Cheers chaps (and gals :-)....
  19. Yeah, I'll do both ends, I've just blagged a packet of very thin nail file emery thingies off my mam :-) they'll be perfect for the injectors, and I'll get a nail on the grindstone, and grind it to very fine point with a slight bend on it, that should do the job for the plugs, and I've already got a tin of servisol contact cleaner, not exactly a fun job, but I'm off to do it now, and I'll let ya's know if it cures the missfire, I'm pretty confident it will, fingers crossed! Cheers guys!
  20. Is there any spray kind of corrosive tackle I can get, to clean the 'hard to get to' contacts, and rid them of the green doom, then wash off? I'm not scared of hard work, just thought there might be some easier way of doing it!
  21. Cheers mate. Not that arsed about the clutch really, I was kind of expecting it to go sometime soon, will have the new one on Friday, and will be fitted by Monday, I know this car inside out now, so kind of looking forward to doing it really! However, it was kind of strange how it went... The clutch seemed fine, was disengaging about 2 thirds of the way down, not slipping, then I got in it the next day, and it was disengaging right at the very top and slipping, even in 3rd gear at 10 MPH, and no play in the pedal, so I adjusted it, gave it some play, and still slipping and still right at the top. Strange, I'm wondering if the fork is knackered, or maybe the springs on the pressure plate have given up. I guess I'll find out when I pull it! Any thoughts on that mate?
  22. Your not far off there matey! I accidentally touched one of the injector connectors very gently and it dropped down to 5, had a look and all the inj connectors are gunked up with the green death, even tho I got them spotless less than a year ago! I will cleaning them all up tomorrow and all should be well! Thanks... Clutch started slipping today too, so new one on the way, eeeeeee, it never ends, but at least it keeps me off the streets and I love doing it :-)
