  1. Has anyone got a working used ptu and or a good coil pack i could borrow? If it cures it I'll buy it!!!
  2. Excellent mate, cheers..... Anyone got any ideas before I take it there? Will have to be a trailer job cos she ain't legitimate at the mo :-( And I'd rather fix it myself if poss, but at least there's someone near by if i can't........
  3. You should have a wire, usually yellow, i think they write on it 'accessory' or 'remote' which is usually for an amp. If you can find the wire for you aerial and connect it to one of them, should work, I think :-)
  4. Ok, i have a problem, runs fine, and can rev it to ya hearts content, no miss fire, take it out and put a load on the engine and it's on 5 more than 6. I have changed the plugs, set my timing correctly, it was slightly out, cleaned up all the connectors on my TPS and CAS, and all the coil pack connectors, although most of the plugs are a bit knackered, they are making a good connection. Also, when i rev it gently up to about 2000rpm, it's a little spluttery, and i get a clickity clikity clickity sound, which sounds like an injector spacking out, but turn the cas and all sounds well. After 2000rpm it is as sweet as nut, until you drive it... All i can think of now is a dodgy coilpack? I also get alot of pops out of the exhaust (it's been de-cated) is that anything to do with it? Has anyone else got any suggestions on this? Beginning to become a little frustrating now, although the pleasure of curing it will totally out do the traumas! Cheers guys, also, is there a Z specialist anywhere near Manchester/Bolton???
  5. Cool, well PM us if they don't go, I'll have the chrome rings and the dial faces.... £££??
  6. are the dials in mph? don't fancy kph.....
  7. I'll have 2nd dibs on the white dials and chrome rings if they don't go matey...
  8. Yeah, they seem right to me matey....
  9. Your best off getting them silver ones that light up orange, so ya can't see any orange through the lense, and steer clear of halfrauds matey, skanks! Ebay.....

  11. Hahaha, very true, stick a few stronbows in there and your laughing :duffer::smash:
  12. there's a little spring lloaded flap to stop dirt gettin in the lock, yours must be knackered too :-)
  13. Iirc, that chromey bit just crimps on the end, ya can pop it off with a screwdriver, (once you've taken the barrel out) normally, by opening up the crimps, then crimp ya new n on...
  14. I've had that before on another car, thought it was a bulb out, but a shitty conection on a sidelight iirc, cleaned it up and sorted...
  15. You got a picture of that crack? And yeah, do nothing till you've got the log book infront of ya, might wanna check the vin number too whilst your at it, does no harm....
  16. Mine are crap too, thought it was cos it's been stood for ages, but will check it out! You can probably buy a new diaphragm instead of a complete unit too.......
  17. I'm pretty certain they are T2's matey...

  19. Is there a plug/socket I can connect it to anywhere?
  20. Cheers mate, that makes sense, I'll leave it off then.....
  21. Nah mate, there's the speed sensor, the reverse switch, and the neutral switch, three plugs from the box, the other two are sorted, think I'll just leave it off, may be the cut out for the starter, so you can't start it in gear? Wont be doing that anyways :-)
  22. Everything else is connected and done, but cos it's actually on the box, I'm thinking it must go somewhere.....
  23. Cheers, i'll have a look for a some info, but the switch is actually on the manual box it's self... I have found 2 write ups on the wiring for the conversion, but they both say they don't know where it goes to!
  24. I've almost finished my manwell conversion, woohoo! But... Does anyone know where to connect the neutral switch on the gearbox to? I've read that you can leave it disconnected, but if it should go somewhere, I'll do it.... Cheers....
