  2. Can ya send us the diagram please too matey? dirtytudor@hotmail.co.uk
  3. Can ya send us the diagram too matey? dirtytudor@hotmail.co.uk
  4. Haha, I'll let ya off mate :-) I know that, there's a few breaking near me, so will get the other bits nice and cheap, just wanna get the box sorted out!......
  5. Also, probably a silly question, can an auto flywheel be used on a TT???
  6. I'm looking for a manual box, I've stuck an ad in the wanted section, just wondering if the same box was fitted on any other nissans, and if they would be straight swap? (due to my Auto box slowly losing the will to live :-)
  7. Hahaha, you said 'Nipples', haha....... :duffer:
  8. Got mine, many thanks, loving the key ring! :-)
  9. Not sure where to get one new from, maybe you can buy a similar plug with the same pins from CPC, or rapid electronics (not sure if you need an account with them tho), maybe even Maplins... What I would do, is go to a scrap yard, and have a trapse about, I'm sure other nissans will have the same pins, cut a load of plugs off and see what ya've got.... HTH.
  10. Well I've callibrated the TPS, got it spot on @ 0.425v, then took it for a test drive. No different, still doesn't want to go into 3rd (and the speedo was working too), but, if I floor it, it will go into 3rd, just at about 6000rpm or something like that, which isn't good cos it ain't been run in yet. So it will go into 3rd gear, but only when the power light comes on, ie. giving it beans. And it still doesn't always kick down, but does about 70% of the times you kick it down (if that makes sense :-) Also, if i was to back off the throttle whilst it was revving a bit higher than i would like, should it go up a gear and cruise till I give it more power? The torque converter feels weird too, i presume it is correct that it should bite properly at 2500 revs? Sometimes goes to about 3250 ish before kicking in with a little jolt, and feels like it is slipping sometimes too, loads of engine noise but no go, strange... :headvswal Anyone in the Bolton/Wigan area with a TT auto? There's a few pints in it if ya can take us round the block to get an idea of how it should be? :duffer:
  11. Anyone know where I can get a couple of these from and how much? Cheers...
  12. Glad to hear it mate, I think I've got mine down to about 76 million now, with a lot of blood, sweat and tears... :-)
  13. Is there a write up on how to do that? I know how to set the voltage, but not how to reset it will the ecu...
  14. I heard the titanum keys were a bad idea, as the plungers in the ignigition barrel are much softer, so sliding it in and out all the time, tends to wear the plungers down, and anybody can start you car with a simila key, a blank, or even a bit of shite found on the floor!
  15. I know, got septic powers :-) Was on the first page when I posted it, retard.... :-)
  16. Belt has worked is't way to the side, and the lip on the left hand cam sprocket has worn the edge away...
  17. Have a look at this matey... http://www.es-ab.se/z-car/IdleTech2.html
  18. It has fresh oil in it, just a few months ago, and has only done about 40 miles. Yeah, I've got the aux oil cooler on it too. That's good to know, the speed sensor could be the problem... Did a diagnostic today, all is fine... I'll keep ya's posted!
  19. Hiyas, took the Zed for another test drive today, but finding the auto box rather strange. I got receipts with the car for a recon box only a few months before I bought it BTW... It seems to change when it wants, or not at all, I can be in 2nd, or 3rd, and it will rev it's knackers off and not change, sometimes feels like the clutch is slipping (although it doesn't have one :-) I've tried everything with the throttle, ie. being gentle, being harsh, backing off etc. but still wont change, and also, the kick down doesn't always kick down, just revs in the same gear, and doesn't go much faster! The fluid level is sound, but, the speed sensor has been playing up, the speedo seems to give up sometimes, and the speedo drops to zero and pops back into life a bit later, especially if i give it some beans, could that be a factor with the strange shifting? I will do a diagnostic on the box tomorrow, but has anyone got any ideas on this? :headvswal Thanks........
  20. Let us all know if a new sensor cures it mate, and make sure the plug fron the loom is clean too, I've had more than my fair share of idling problems, so if it doesn't cure it, may be able to help, although idle problems can be many many different things, as I found out! :-) If your getting the error code tho, as Jimmy said, that's a logical place to start...
  21. I was looking at them! Are they any good? i.e. do ya seats get warm? :-)
  22. What was the kit called mate, and how much was it?
  23. I have replaced the O rings on the balance bar, fitted a new gasket on AAC thingy with the throttle valve tackle when I cleaned it up, fitted 4 new IC/intake pipes which are nice and soft and a lovely snug fit... Definately gonna check the timing after I have cleaned out the Air regulator and the throttle bodies, the car had a blown piston when I bought it, so oil clogged basically everything it could up, cos the previous owner kept driving it on 5 cylinders and blasting oil all over the show! Thanks for the input everyone! I'll keep ya 'posted' (pun intended) with the results...
  24. Thanks, just done a fair bit of research, gonna sort it tomorrow if it kills me, and clean up the air regulator and the throttle bodies too, as I said, the idle is pretty nice at the mo, it's just the hesitation and the stalling that is starting to pull my pants down, spank my ass and laugh in my face, shouting 'ha ha, ha ha, you can't find me!' I have been drinking :duffer: Anyone got anyother suggestions that might be the cause of hesitation from idle, and stalling? Anything at all, I'd rather check something and know it's right that not check it.... Cheers ya'll!
