  1. Even if they did have a moan, only a few minutes to pop normal bulbs back in... Are you asking about a pulsar or a zed? Zeds are H3, dunno about pulsars matey...
  2. Reet then, I'll bung it on conzult and clear self learning...
  3. After finally getting her on the road, I have been driving about with the timing 10 degrees out (I set it up using the induction loop on the PTU, and after reading Jeff's write up, I set it up using his way), and has made a wonderful difference, however, seeing as the battery had been off for ages, it has self learnt with the timing out, is it worth me resetting the ECU so it can now learn with the timing set up correctly, or will it just re learn? Cheers, Tudor.
  4. Anyone got some fitted? Any links? I'n on about the cheaper ones, as I think 250-300 quid new for a pair of branded ones is a rip off. What size pipe are the OEM recircs? Cheers, Tudor...
  5. Cheers mate... Just checking I set the timing correctly, at 25 btdc with no neutral switch, I didn't bother connecting it after the manual conversion as I had read similar statements as yours...
  6. 15 btdc without the neutral switch connected? I'm pretty sure I set mine to 25, was ages ago though, I did think it was 15 when in neutral, then when you put it in gear, it advances it to 25, or am I the wrong way round? (hence the original question). And cheers, I shall get on pin 44 and the connectors under the bonnet and ring it through...
  7. Hi Keano, I'm going matey, not got any track time tho, where abouts are you? No zeds round here, and got mine on the road a few days ago after 5 and a half years :)
  8. I have searched, in fact I have looked into this many times before, but for some reason my memory isn't functioning today... So, after a manual conversion, and the neutral switch NOT connected, should the timing always be 25 BTDC, or 15 BTDC? Cheers Tudor... Also, just to add another question, I need to temporarily connect the neutral switch to do an active HICAS test, I know it's pin 44 on the ECU I need to ground, but I don't fancy the hassle of grounding it from the ECU, does pinn 44 go to any of the redundant plugs in the engine bay from the auto loom? Cheers...
  9. Yeah, off the road for almost 6 years, bought it thinking it had a knackered turbo, turned out to big a hole in a piston, and that was just the teeny tiny tip of the iceberg, and yep, well chuffed, got my first 'Nice car mate!' today at the traffic lights :)
  10. Well, after getting an awesome deal on my insurance a couple of days ago, at 12:00am this morning, I was straight on the DVLA website and taxed her, and went for my first real drive in her after almost 6 years of graft, and it was epic :) Battery had been off for a while, so she was still learning, and after about 20 or 30 miles, she really woke up, I was expecting some teething problems, but nothing really, well, my radio without the front on it would snap crackle and pop, and ghostly static and noises would come out of one speaker when I went over a bump (which shit me up, as it first sounded like something breaking), an annoying rattle on the drivers A pillar trim, wind noise from the drivers wing mirror (which are heated too as I found out, on a JDM, bonus), and a slight road vibration between 40-50, but everything before and after that speed it smooth as silk, but I have had off all the rear end, new ball joints, and I only tracked it up by eye, do you reckon alignment will sort that out, I know it needs doing? Oh, and my speedo has a major trauma over 60 and gives up, pretty sure it's the converter behind the clocks... All in all, a damn fine result, and seriously meaty even running stock boost, happy chappy :)
  11. Nooooo, don't do that Dave, I've just bought a tub of Lurpak specially :)
  12. Car value £3000 (poo I know, but honest), fully comp but not allowed to drive other vehicles due to the agreed milage, and wheels declared (that's the only mod), £250 excess...
  13. Hahahahahaa :) "HI! BILLY MAYS HERE, WITH MEGA SCRUB CLEANSER" haha
  14. I can't believe it either, she asked me about convictions in the last 5 years, nope, none, then asked me about last 10 years, I thought 'Oh well, here we go.....', then came back with that price, and, I was completely honest about everything, didn't even 'bend' the truth at all :) One weird thing tho, is my postcode wouldn't register on her computer, even tho we both spelled it out about 10 times, and she said 'Well, the computer is never wrong with postcodes', to which I said 'Well I think it might be because I have lived there for 20 years', so she put it in manually, and it was definately correct, and if it's not right on the insurance papers, let them know, other than that, hunky dory :)
  15. 29, no NCB, half decent area, only a named driver on another car, alloys included, 3k a year, 35 days EU cover, full AA, all convictions (even though from 9 years ago, they asked), £204.86!!! 6 years working on her, and in a couple of days, I'll actually be able to drive her, so say I am chuffed is the understatement of the year, I've had 3 sex wees already :) :) :)
  16. That looks lovely matey, and welcome! It does look like it's been lowered, but it has a great stance on the stock rims, I'm not jealous of your weather, or the roads you are going to get to drive her on, not at all :(
  17. Yes you can just undo those bolts from the driveshaft to diff, and it will just come off, the two halves are basically flat, so it should just fall apart, but, make sure you put a mark on the two halves to make sure they go on in the same place, dunno if that is necessary, but i always do... EDIT : When I said 'fall apart', I meant 'come apart', don't want you thinking shit and gubbins will go everywhere!
  18. Well done mate! Hope everything is well! :) :) :pint:
  19. As will I mate, bad times...

  22. So then, who's having pancakes today?
