  1. Yep serves him right..he clearly had no respect for anything other than his ego..or value for anybody elses right to life
  2. apparently the boards are different..so could be
  3. Don`t let sob story's influence you..he was at fault and should have been more careful. It`s what insurance is for !
  4. Then you have to resolder absolutely everything and possibly the other side of the board too
  5. The light comes on after a period of no signal and a speed of over 15mph..trust me i`ve been there twice. The speedo unit converts the pulse generated by the sensor on the gearbox and sends it to all the relevant units including the hicas..so the head is a good bet, usually cured by total resoldering of the board. If your mileage is still counting it narrows down the culprit.
  6. More likely the speedo head itself..is the mileage reader moving?

  8. And use daylight outside to look..you`d be amazed at what you can see compared to artificial light..as groover says r10 area and the black square looking thingy with 3 legs. I had to do both sides of the board..be brave!
  9. never hurts to drop a little more solder in..provided you don`t go mad.

  11. Have a look on the other side of the board with a jewelers loupe...i found a couple on there that had stopped mine working.

  13. Maybe you could help me out with my toad? I`m over in chelmsford had the car off for some welding, came back with no remote central locking. So i`ve disconnected the alarms door actuator to remove unnecessary load on the barrel but i would like the function back. How the hell it happened i`v`e no idea was fine before it went. It the a606i

  17. Uk tweed is much nicer than the jap tweed. Has a luxury feel to it

  19. By the way there is a fantastic spot hidden round there, takes you to the perimeter fence of the approach runway..think waynes world the jets come in right over your head, you get jet wash, everything. Would make for some awesome photos
