  1. Just bear in mind, should you wish to dissasemble your t top this ( i.e change your trim) will make it a bit difficult to say the least.
  2. OOH that looks interesting..is it called the business?
  3. No you were right, it is four. There are lots of places on the targa for water ingress. Rust under the end seals is causing issues due to the foam degrading. Nissan relied on foam to seal all the joints within the top. As per usual the replacement foam is silly money. I`ve used non setting buytl sikalastomer 710 instead on mine(very messy but may need to strip again so avoided silicone) and this would appear to be working. You have to seal All the joints, screw holes incl. the weather strip and replace the foam that seals the panel to the glass and reseal the rubber door strip holder (metal strip) that seals to the panel
  4. And take your boot panels out to check the rear bumper sill. If water gets in via the lights can tend to collect down there as well as the spare tyre well.
  5. If that`s really starting from cold the oil pressures way too low..I hear a knock
  6. can`t see why not, they`re only a little wider aren`t they?
  7. had a feeling that`s what you meant, they just attach to the standard airbox so it pulls in air from a direction that`s cooler and less likely to suck water in, you can bin em.
  8. I`ve been taking some targas apart due to rust and leaks. Jeff sent me some replacement targas which, guess what..yep rusty. Thing is you can`t always see unless you know where to look. I`ve found several problems leading to water ingress. I`m afraid 20 odd years have taken their toll. All are rusting in the same places, just forward of either end cap. The metal piece at the end of the targa is attached to a rubber which attaches to the glass and the targa panel. This rubber is covered in foam, one assumes to help create a seal with the foam ends on the stainless strip which holds the rubber. The foam compresses to form the seal and has shrunk, the bond on the stainless strip can also start to perish along with the silicone sealant used by nissan. The only option is to completely strip, fix the rust if you can and rebond. Everything with with foam attached has rust to some degree. So I`d say if you`re still leaking this may well be your situation too, sorry to say.
  9. it`s true..every word..although the reindeer do concern me..one looks very happy the other has oh lawd i`m next look..just what are you suggesting us christmas types get up to?
