Yeah same here then fill it with do-electrical grease before putting back together to stop it happening again

I must admit I use both of these a lot.......lol

I use the fibreglass pen on battery connectors in loads of things like my radio control car transmitter battery holder and cleaning relay contacts..... Saved a fortune on relays over the years......lol

Nice to know I am not alone using them.....lol

Does that work well on the female sides

for those wising to clean terminal connectors, we all struggle trying to find something to clean the pins with, mainly using a small precision flat head screw driver, sand paper and what ever else has a good contact to rub the crap off the connectors, sometimes with varying results and some times with out paying attention can inadvertently make the connection worse by making the gap wider between the pins to stop it getting a decent contact.

So if you want, here is the correct tool for the job.

fantastic bits of kit and well worth the money

unfortunately the link doesn't work any more and I can't remover what they're called... Jeff also has a set and they work really well.. (for the male side pin anyway)..

maybe one of them can post a link or remember the name.

That was the tweezer type one right?

If you mix vinegar and salt to form a solution. (an acid)

(ie until the amount of vinegar will no longer dissolve any further salt.

You should find that this will dissolve the green corrosion with a little brushing.

Once you have cleaned them, wash them thoroughly with a solution of water and baking soda (an alkali) so as to neutralise the effect of the acid.
