My scruffy wheels
But can u eat it lol, i cant be trusted around things that smell like bubble gum, Will get some dont think i wanna be polishing these to often. Wonder how long it would take to do a whole bonnet, on a black car may look good. My luck i would start taking paint off and find a great big lump of filler.

My scruffy wheels
Hi guys Decided to try do some work to my wheels myself, Some wet and dry paper from 60 to 2500, autosol metal polish and cotton cloth, halfords can of grey primer, and gloss black, I pulled the metal lips off(fake polished rim Stuck over the edge of wheel) which had black powder coat underneath, And pulled all the allen keys out (decided to leave these out for the moment) will get them done in the shop 1day but i think they look ok for the moment, I aint the best sprayer and never polished any metal before, and dont think i willbe polishing anymore in a hurry, my hands were bleeding, and have no finger prints left..5hrs on each wheel all by hand never again, well here is some pics: one wheel with lip removed and powder coat: a pic of starting to remove powder coat: And one finished: Couple on the car: Lots of pics lol, Cheers for looking.

My lads car insurance
My brothers misses just passed her test and had 1.2 corsa which was 2000 a yr, It started playing up so she looked at a 1.6 vectra phoned the insurance company and she couldnt believe it when her insurance dropped to 1500 a year. So thats whats she is driving now, Seems the corsa was more expensive because its classed has a 1st time driver car.

Sofa,s
I use to work for land of leather and dfs delivering sofas, Dfs seemed to have the same sofas but twice the price, land of leather had a problem with peoples skin getting burns from the leather and was ment to be the moisture bags some split and covered the sofa in a dust, they seemed to go bust quickly after that. When i worked their most of the problems seemed they used leather match on anything you didnt sit on and stitching use to split, I bought a cheap one 650 which was ok, it was a 3 and 2 recliner lasted about 4years before it split on stitching. and if it was me i would by: a manual recliner set, the frames are metal so hard to break, 4bolts takes each seat off seperate so no worrys about where they fit. make sure its got nice feeling leather not like plastic. only pay about 650, and if it only last 3 to 4 yrs buy another, and for the 1500 you was gonna spend could nearly buy 3sets so would last ten yrs that way. and update it every few yrs. And land of leather use to do an insurance, most didnt take but in my opinion were silly cause it covered a lot, 3yrs after they bought it and obviously by accident they put an hot plate on it and we was lumbered delivering a new one. but if the model was not available they got to pick for the original price. Goodluck with sofa.

Help again please,
Hi guys, HAPPY CHRISTMAS.. Had a strange backfire on my car, Which had another thread, Cut the long story short, blip the throttle to 2100rpm in neutral and soon as the revs start falling i get a backfire and quite loud too. Been through everything on the bloody car, today fitted ngk plugs and 6 coils, and still the same, Changed ECU, PTU, CAS, AIRFLOW METER, 6 COILS AND SPARK PLUGS, TPS CHANGED and set to 0.45v, CHANGED COIL PACK RELAY, FUEL PUMP RELAY AND ECU, Checked timing and set to 15btdc, even took cambelt off to make sure aligned properly, Checked for air leaks and perfect, Checked ohms on injectors, checked and cleaned injector connectors, 02 sensors are ok, Wiggled and checked as much of the loom as possible, The one thing i noticed i stripped the AIR REGULATOR and the spring inside is mangled wondering has anyone else had any problems with one and could it cause a backfire..also only does the backfire when warm while cold its perfect. Its really driving me nuts now,

Alloy wheels
I have been looking in a few places and found westfield fasteners they seem the easiest place to actually find what you want, they sell m6x10mm allen head bolts, stainless steel and about £20 for 100 of them, Bloody real bolts a quarter of the price of fake plastic bolts, lol. gonna try and tap a thread in the wheels, so atleast if they need doing again can just unbolt them and bolt new ones in again. Cheers for reply mate.

Alloy wheels
I hope it dont go wrong, been looking and the ones in my wheels are decorative push fit plastic bolts, seems you can buy them, and looks like they sell for around £100. For plastic bolts. I will pull 1 out and try to match it with something lol. Cheers for your replys, and i will get some pics up once their done but it will be after christmas. To poor at the moment..

Alloy wheels
Snapped 1 off today and the inside, i just collapsed it with a pick and pulled it out, I will Look into pro bolt, thats exactly what i needed as i couldnt find anything on google myself, Thank you. Was hoping if i can find the right size bolt just tap the hole and thread them in, or do you reckon i would be better off with threaded inserts, The wheels are really nice just getting scruffy, problem is they have 255 tyres on the rear, and are a little stretched. and with the tin bits stuck on instead of scratching the wheel it makes a hole in the tin part. Thank you for your reply mate.

Alloy wheels
Hi guys, Got these wheels on my zed, the silver rim part is fake its a type of tin stuck over the actual wheel, I have a few scuffs on these parts, so spoke to spit and polish {wheel refurb company next door to where i use to work} They said pull the tin parts off and they will powder coat the black part again, and machine the silver part back into the actual wheel and said it will look like a cd face, Which sounds good, so pulled off the tin parts today and they are just black for the minute and look better with no scuffs. But the bit i need help with is they have allen key bolts all round, and they are fake (plastic) and i take it they will need removing so they can powder coat, But when i went to remove 1 they just snap, seems they are just pushed in maybe with glue, Any tips what to do, can i buy new plastic imitation allen key bolts, or replace with stainless and cut threads in and bolt them in, (They dont do nothing just their for show) but if i remove them gonna have holes all the way round. just hoping someone may have reconditioned something similar cause cant find anything on google. Any help appreciated, Thank you. Hi guys Decided to try do some work to my wheels myself, Some wet and dry paper from 60 to 2500, autosol metal polish and cotton cloth, halfords can of grey primer, and gloss black, pulled tin lips off which were black powder coat underneath, and pulled all the allen keys out (decided to leave these out for the moment) will get them done in the shop 1day but i think they look ok for the moment, I aint the best sprayer and never polished any metal before, and dont think i willbe polishing anymore in a hurry, my hands were bleeding, and have no finger prints left..5hrs on each wheel all by hand never again, well here is some pics: one wheel with lip removed and powder coat: a pic of starting to remove powder coat: And one finished: Couple on the car: Lots of pics lol, Cheers for looking.

replace clutch
Easy mate compared to most front wheel drive crap out their, Jack car up and get on axal stands, Remove: Exhausts, Starter motor, Slave cylinder, Undo gearbox drain plug and drain it. prop, 2 bolts holding it to the car, 4x bolts and prop splits in the middle, Undo 4x big turbo hoses under bonnet> lets the engine tilt further back. Get a Jack under the gearbox, undo gearbox mount bolts.. Lower gearbox with jack, then you can get to sensors- neutral switch, reverse lights, speed sensor. disconnect them, 4x bolts on gear linkage plus long bolt and nut going through the bush part. Then the bolts around bell housing, use a few extension bars together and go over the top of gearbox for top bolts, Then its ready to come out, i drop it out laying on my back using my arms and knees...but most use a trolley jack...be careful their heavy...and they hurt when they hit you, i know this because an autobox hit me on the back of the wrist and needed stitches...but used electrical tape and made a plaster and carried on with my manual conversion, no time for hospital when there was a manual zed on its way lol. and second time the box slipped and split my eyebrow open nice little zed scar. So again be careful. I also lift it back in 1minute of heavy work and its back up their, and just reverse fitting it back together, No wheels off, no subframes to drop easy peasy.

led lights
Hi mate, i have the fiat coupe lights, just wanna update to led and didnt want to have to buy a new panel, Think i found some here, under rear lights. http://www.s-v-c.co.uk/ They have loads of choices, got to work out what colour lol. Looked at jasons car yesterday the beast, and we measured the panel and its the same size holes, he as the clear lights but on a dark car, mine is white so was thinking red, jasons looked great when switched on, just 4x red rings. Looks like i would need 98mm inserts. It would work out a couple of hundred quid but better then nearly 500 from z centre when i have the panel anyway. And it seems their E marked. The fiat coupe lights i really use to like, but when you look from the side they seem to stick out from the recess with the led inserts they seem to fit flush and look a lot more modern when on. Cheers for all your replys.

ive just been a complete dickhead
drained a few motors when worked for a company in london, They had a fuel pump made up which connected to the fuel line under the bonnet and sucked it all out, once nothing left to come through, we filled it with a couple cans of diesal and sucked it through again till it starts coming through just to make sure lines are clear, then reconnected it all up and bleed it through, drained fuel filter and put new one in, on all the cars i done they had drove them, and had no problems after, but as said maybe it could have caused damage, Done one the other week, without any pump on a 05 focus and i dropped the tank to get fuel out, It was a nightmare to start cause had nothing to clear fuel lines, so had to tow start it, It was my mums friend and its been good ever since. Just remember its gonna be hard to start, on the focus kept running battery flat trying to bleed it, again at work on some diesals i have opened fuel cap put an airline in their and using a cloth to seal it, put pressure in the tank and it pushes fuel through. Some easy start too may help, Goodluck.
