  1. God I've missed doing events in my Zed this year :(
  2. Yes, blank off the nipples near the radiator, one on each side situated on the underside of intercooler pipes leading to the throttle bodies. Near side easier than off side. I have blanking plugs here, or use a short length of vac line & a bolt. Remove the boost jets using long-nosed pliers if possible, or simply cut the pipes down and make up the loss with fresh vac hose. Refer to post #7 for the easiest & neatest solution regarding pipework which is my installation method. I'd take pics for you, but my car is 130 miles away.
  3. I can't decide between these two... Edit: Missed the "last 10 years" part. Nevermind, I'll just leave them there :D
  4. Top left of the engine bay (driver's side). There is a black rectangular box with a vac hose going to the underside of it :)
  5. ^^ Slightly different brass body now than that pic and with PTFE tape on the adjusting bolt.
  6. Also featuring a bespoke spring with a high spring constant giving a large adjustment range (I run up to 2 bar on my Pulsar) and minimal spiking, plus a lightweight delrin ball bearing :D I've never thought to offer a complete kit for fitting to a Zed, sorry! Remove the actuator lines from the intercooler pipework and route them both to the bulkhead. There should be about 6" between the open ends. You'll need some vac hose (5mm), 2 joiners and a tee (both 6mm or 1/4") for the actuator side. I usually come off the balance bar where the stock boost gauge is attached for the pressure reference and the MBC situated nearby. This keeps all vac lines as short as possible.
  7. Have an engine that requires a rebuild complete with autobox & a pair of hybrid Turbo Technics turbos still fitted. No plenum or injectors. One turbo has some play, the other is fine. £300. Can deliver, but would prefer collection.
  8. Thought you were doing TOTB this year?
  9. Engine out already courtesy of Jimmer!
  10. Bought this at the back end of 2012 from car.mad, been in storage ever since. Brand new. £40 inc delivery & Paypal fees.
  11. Details should all be in my signature below as well :)
  12. T04E 55Trim, A/R 0.5/0.63. I'm not into sending £2.2k to the USA for a couple of GTX units to make mid 500s, so thought I'd do it properly with a set of big Chinese blowers(!). I bought Jaffa's fuel system (850cc injectors, border fuel rails, twin Walbros, Aeromotive FPR) as there is no skimping on that side of things and it allows me to run as much power as the stock engine can take. The best result I've seen with bolt-on turbos was Phutumsch's Godspeed setup, which is a pair of Chinese T28s with 4-bolt turbine housings. Going to a T3 turbo set up allows for a much wider range of options, if/when these fail it'll be a pair of Holset HX35Ws or Borg Warner S200s. I do hope these last a while, but it is a gamble. I've had good experiences & bad with Chinese turbos in the past. These ones have a built in restrictor which is different to previous ones I've used, so they've obviously made some kind of effort to increase longevity. Lag (boost threshold) is likely to be high, but top end power should be impressive and intake temps lower than the usual T2x setups. I'm contemplating water/meth injection and nitrous as well, but I doubt there'll be time before TOTB, and I need to consider the material strength limits of the stock piston ringlands. There will likely be an issue with clearance of the engine mounts, so to get around that I will use mesh on the compressor inlets and a blow-through MAF setup, negating the need for $390 low-profile engine mounts and removing further restriction from the intake system.
  13. As title, I need a pair of 16x8 (or 16x9) alloys wheels for the rear of my Zed. Condition not important as long as they're round. Will consider a full set if need be. Thanks.
  14. Hmmm. I don't think I've quite thought this one through properly :wack:
  15. Bought some big stupid turbos & a decent fuel system set up for TOTB.
  16. What's going on? :wack:
  17. It is the correct car.
  18. Pretty sure it got punted on as it was in a bit of a state :(
  19. Hahaha, I really wish my sig quote wasn't full up of Specialist nonsense, because that needs to be quoted as a slogan for all Zed owners (except with proper grammar, like) :wack: I have nothing of any substance to add to the thread. Hope it all gets sorted, seems like Gary et al. are doing what they can to sort the situation. A thankless task sometimes it seems.
  20. I remember the gold one being up for sale a few months back. Sure it had a lot of problems and was being advertised as a project.
  21. The gold snotter?
  22. Yeah, it's been quite a journey to say the least. On the homestretch now though :)
  23. Shouldn't be a problem at all, if mapping is all that is left to do. You should see the list of jobs mine requires before TOTB. Monumental task :wack: Plus, the back up Pulsar needs a clutch swap in order to handle 2 bar. Just so I can get utterly destroyed by all in the AWD class. I do have pit crew & support vehicle ready though
  24. There really is no need to be running boost jets nowadays :( It's not running much boost and the AFR is into the 10.xx range. The JWT map is rudimentary and not much different from the standard high gear map. You're a loooong way from me, but I'm sure there is someone in your neck of the woods that will be able to get a much better result from your car :)
