  1. Pfft! I've lifted one on my own before. Like a boss! You want to try hand-balling a complete Skyline R33 GTR box & transfer box as one unit, then shoving it into the back of a Clio 172 all on your lonesome! I'm going for 76kg. As above, anyone need one, I have 2 kicking about for much cheapness :wack:
  2. Why? Genuine question, as I don't understand the appeal. If it's empty, no one will be watching. Slalom course to hone your driving skills?
  3. Thanks to the statute of limitations on utter stupidity, I don't mind disclosing that in the old days I used to hit the cruises. From Leicester Six Hills, to Naughty Notts, Birmingham Wheels, Skegness & Southend. Anyone on here remember Wheels & Notts from back in the day. Oooof! The 'meet' is just the tip of the iceberg. I've never once been to a cruise and not seen a high level of "God damn street racers" street racing afterwards. Frankly, the meet is the foreplay, the racing is the balls-deep action that everyone looks forward to. If you think it's any different, you came (and went) too quickly ;) It's been that way since the beginning, last time I went to Sixhills about a year ago, it was no different. Thankfully, I discovered the joys of Santa Pod over a decade ago, which now allows me to climb up on my soap box and ride off on my high horse.
  4. Not even an impedance report for the injectors or individual compression results. I prefer the places that just flat-out refuse to even look at a Zed in the first place :D Get it to a recognised specialist, although it will hopefully be something nice & simple anyway :)
  5. Cruising has long been illegal, what's the issue here? Even Al Pacino knew it was wrong, and he's a Cuban drug lord for Christ's sake.
  6. Low compression across the board. Where does the CAS sit in respect to the bolts and slots? Did they check the timing?
  7. How hard is it to use a noid light and/or long screwdriver? In all honesty, apart from the Zed's penchant for crispy green loom connectors, there isn't much difference from a Zed to a 200sx or a Skyline. Other than the manly torque levels of course :wack:
  8. You should have gotten a full & complete diagnosis from where you took it to.
  9. I personally like 235 on the front & 275 on the rear. 17x10 wheels. Edit: 17x9 & 17x10!
  10. All the best Gary :pint::happybday:
  11. Generally speaking, unless you're over 500bhp or running high boost levels, you don't need BCR8ES and they will be too cold a plug for you. BKR7E would be fine.
  12. I've just checked the map you requested that I port over to your new Nistune set up, and it appears to be a mixture of automatic & manual tables. It does indeed have the same neutral timing as an automatic car, so this will be your issue if the timing is showing 25° BTDC when up to full temp and you haven't wired in your neutral switch. How it works: The 300zx uses various 2D fuelling & timing compensation tables based on temperature for different scenarios. The increased timing is not a function of increased engine RPM, rather it is determined primarily by the ECU during the warm-up cycle (as is fuelling), it's not only the target idle speed that is higher when cold. Timing needs to be higher on a cold engine due to the richer mixture having a slower burn rate. Manual & Auto gear timing compensation tables for the AC OFF condition are identical from -40°C to +50°C, at which point the auto levels off at 10° BTDC whilst the manual continues to 0° BTDC, hence the 25° BTDC (15+10) overall timing value for a manual-converted car with standard auto ECU and no neutral switch. Manual & Auto gear timing compensation tables for the AC ON condition are identical from -40° to +50°C, at which point the auto levels off at 10° BTDC, whilst the manual continues to 0° BTDC until 95°C when it increases back to 5° BTDC and then from 100°C to 115°C it stays at 10° BTDC exactly the same as the Auto ECU. There's quite a lot going on behind the scenes, it's easier to see it in action than to explain it in writing
  13. Easiest & quickest way to diagnose & solve any issues is with a diagnostic (Consult) cable and appropriate software. Is the neutral switch connected? If not, you will need to either fit a manual ECU or a manual chip to your auto ECU. The auto ECU map sets the timing at 25° BTDC when it believes the car is in gear & speed = 0mph, hence the increased RPM. Assuming no other issues, of course.
  14. Hello & welcome :)
  15. Hello! Nice Zed :D
  16. Funkysi cannot be reached at this particular point in time
  17. That's what I was thinking :(
  18. .... and a fake Bee*R Rev Limitttter :chinese:
  19. Definitely just the turbo seals then. Vapourised oil, straight out the back.
  20. Hello & welcome! The VG30DETT is almost two CA18DETs bolted together. So that's nearly 2 x the awesome. Pretty good! Take along a laptop, consult cable & one of the free diagnostic programs. Any issues can help knock some money off the asking price and give you a headstart on fixing any running issues
  21. What colour smoke? Does it smoke when first started up? Are hot starts OK with no smoke?
  22. Why buy a Strosek-kitted car in the first place, just to sell the front end, reducing its value and (probably) ruining it completely in one fell swoop? This would make a great deal more sense. I'm not particularly fussed by bodykits, I usually prefer standard cars regardless of make, but even I can appreciate what's gone into this particular car. I doubt you'll get much in the way of help or advice from here on how to ruin it
