  1. All the best :)
  2. Get it on a diagnostic system ASAP, it will give you all the information you need as to sensor outputs. Not wanting to sound blunt, but there's no point chasing your tail guessing when it's a 5 minute job. Jimmer @ PowerZed is fairly close to you, based in Bristol if you need assistance :) Turbos are essentially the same regardless of region & transmission type. The only difference is the turbine housing is A/R 0.54 for the auto, A/R 0.63 for the manual. Seal kits are the same. Don't drive it much if the turbos are leaking on the intake side, oil lowers the octane rating and can lead to detonation. That's odd, lambda feedback isn't operational until 25°C on a UK ECU, 50°C on a Japanese ECU. In theory, it shouldn't have made any difference at all below these temperatures.
  3. A bit of flutter/chatter/pigeon when you lift off the accelerator is nothing to worry about :)
  4. Boost "chatter" isn't a problem with regards to turbo longevity, it's only an issue for car makers that require vehicles to be nice & quiet. "Stall" in this case is Fluid Mechanics terminology when a compressor is operating to the left of the 'surge' line on the corresponding compressor map. It only becomes a problem when it's on-boost surge, and the turbo is developing more pressure than the engine itself can consume. This can damage bearings very quickly if left unchecked.
  5. Boost leak test with them in situ.
  6. It's not the internet, it's real life and actual events in this case. There are too many failures to be ignored, genuine Nissan items are more than up to the task. Personally, I had experience of Cometic HG sealing issues many years ago on my CA18. Problems were fairly well-known even back then.
  7. The reason I am posting on this thread advising Russ to use standard head gaskets is because of my experience & knowledge on the subject, not my opinion. He has no reason whatsoever to not use standard head gaskets. Simple as that, I'm afraid. Regarding a certain company "writing a load of crap" to sell products.... Well, now's not the time or place..... Or maybe, having recently returned from mapping Zeds in Spain and hearing the numerous horror stories from unhappy customers (wrong parts, terrible aftersales service, chips supplied running 25° at full load, a clutch that lasted 2 dyno pulls), now is the time to advise people who NOT to use.
  8. I thought it was stalling when it comes to a stop. Just because you hear turbo flutter, doesn't mean they're not leaking. Those two occurrences aren't linked.
  9. Unless you can ensure they are not leaking, sell or bin them.
  10. Hello & welcome. Nice Zed you have there :thumbup1:
  11. Hello & welcome. Nice Zed you have there :thumbup1:
  12. It's a great way to celebrate someone's life when they pass. Thanks for sharing the photos. Absolutely loving that Zed. Any more information?
  13. Hello & welcome. Looks to be a great car you have there.
  14. No gripe, he's never ripped me off as I have had no dealings with him, just empty words on the net. I'm just very aware how posting items works with regards to tracking as I send items all over the world most days.
  15. Now you know how he paid for it.
  16. Unfortunately you can't prove anything and there's no evidence that anything has been posted out. No tracking numbers, no tracking. They can always look things up by name & address of sender or receiver. Which courier doesn't use tracking numbers? Genuine question, as every single one I have used, does. But then I don't use MyHerpes to send anything. Rather things get there. Edit: In that case, they're probably stealing from you. A set of shock absorbers weighs a lot, and isn't something you can just misplace or forget about sending.
  17. Ha! That's exactly what Paul suggested too. I get nosebleeds that far up north, God knows how I survived in Whitby for so many years :wack:
  18. I think only I have been stupid enough to attempt my own pipes from scratch so far, to go with the modified FMIC. Took Mr Silverline & I a full night which included mapping his stunning Zed. No bends, lots of joins, lots of :smash:. Does the job admirably and has room for my MAF sensor in there :wack:
  19. That's....... Not the point. I sent a lot of AEM items out recently, behind schedule due to delays in them landing in this country (from USA, not China ). Thread updated, people informed, tracking numbers provided, photographs taken, items delivered (as far as I'm aware). Job done.
  20. No ta, it's a thankless task for the most part. Besides, you'd be long gone if I had a Ban Stick. I'm like Hitler when I get a whiff of power.
  21. I couldn't care less how someone types on the internet. Sorry. So, one is aggressive & uses "2u" text-speak when typing. The other seems like quite a well-rounded individual that types relatively normally. This would explain a few things and I'm being serious. In our PM correspondence one minute it was quite pleasant, then next something had clearly gone wrong for no apparent reason. I hope it's two different people....
  22. Are there 2 people posting on this account? One moment your posts are calm and measured, the next you've clearly got some kind of communication problem.
  23. All information given here: https://conceptzperformance.com/blog/?p=30 Google "300zx 600rs" and it's the 3rd result down.
  24. Did Mark not advise you regarding turbochargers?
