    larger injectors
  2. Don't forget, there are also 4 bolts, 2 on each side of the plenum (the bracket on each side that holds the black turbopipe and plenum) -Eric
  3. don't forget this one ! :) http://www.junauto.co.jp/democar/jb-z32/?en oh...and the cars that won Le Mans were R390's...not 300's an even rarer Nissan ;)
  4. looks like it has a '95+ engine (new type PTU, aluminium balance bar and 95+ plenum), so maybe it's not all that bad. ;)
  5. this might help: http://300zx-twinturbo.com/manual/st/007.gif
  6. Could be air in the power steering system or the belt is too tight. If the sounds get worse while steering (especially when steering fully right/left) it's probably air...if it's constant and no matter what you do it's probably the pump. -Eric PS: did you touch the bolt behind the pulley ? (and maybe forgot to tighten it again, so now it scrapes against the pulley)

oiltemp during normal driving : around 70 Celcius, oiltemp in heavy traffic (stop/go) or WOT: between 80-90 Celcius, but drops to 70 after 10-15 minutes of normal driving. hotest I have ever seen was 115 Celcius, which was on a Track during a very hot day. With low outside temperatures (winter) the temps are usually 5-10 degrees lower. Also remarkable was that at the time my headgaskets were leaking my oiltemps were around 100 Celcius most of the time (with the engine fully warmed up) and the temp never went down (even if you took it easy and didn't put much load on the engine) -Eric
  8. not sure what that hose is for...do you have an extra boostgauge or something ? anyway..can you put the T-piece in the green bypass ? (see drawing #2) http://300zx-twinturbo.com/temp/bypass2.jpg
  9. 3 GPS units (without SIM) 1 extra sensitive aerial 1 European map (all delivered in Holland) Thanks ! Eric
  10. the code 42 is because of the disconnected fueltemp sensor. Do you have a conzult to see the errors ? or are you using the manual procedure ? A failing PTU doesn't always show up as an error. As for the bypass on a RHD:
  11. You can leave the bypass permanently and it is actually a good and simple modification...especially for cars running higher then stock boost. It won't cause any harm at all, the car may run a little rich from time to time, since the fuel pressure in the fuelrail is higher then normal.
  12. Sounds more like a classic PTU failure...
  13. Jay, How does the engine cut out ? suddenly or slowly ? Are you able to restart it ? does the engine keep running if you keep your foot on the throttle ? Try bypassing the pvpr solenoid: connect a small hose between the small outlet running from the plenum straight to the small pipe that runs to the FPR. http://twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=technical&msg_id=856852 This will permanently bump up the fuel pressure. -Eric
  14. Yes, correct...but it also puts the car in safetyboost when the fuel reaches "dangerous" temperatures., but I have never seen this happen though... disconnecting the sensor doesn't really harm anything, since the ECU uses a routine that will "guess" the fueltemp. based on how long the engine is running. Though It may cause the car to have difficulties starting, when the engine is hot. -Eric
  15. It is used by the ECU and a malfunctioning sensor could theoratically put the car in safetyboost, since this is what happens when the ECU detects when the fuel is overheating (not very common). The sensor itself is basically a resistor (to ground) -Eric
  16. bayside blue looked stunning on the Zeds big brother, so that's when I decided to have my Zed painted this color as well :) -Eric
  17. It's made by a Germany company called Wektor and the kit is called the Wektor 364 kit. But I don't think it's still in production
  18. yes, I have seen it once, but that was caused by a hole in piston #6
  19. Could be malfunctioning PCV system. What are the compression figures of the cylinders ? -Eric
  20. Those are RH wheels (german manufacturer) http://www.rh-alurad.de/ the wheels on that car are AE Tecnics I have the RH ZW3's, which is the 3 piece version of this rim. -Eric

  22. some more information on what to change when twinturbocharging a NA. from the top of my head these are the things you need: left + right turbo left + right TT exhaust manifold left + right turbo downpipe (jspec), or TT precats + maincats TT radiator TT oilpan TT injectors TT intercoolers + piping TT bumper (or other bumper with intercooler vents) TT recirc. valves (or aftermarket blowoff valves) electronic boostcontroller and custom chip/ECU. Under no circumstances use boostjets or a manual/mechanical boostcontroller in this setup. I also used a TT oilfilterbracket + TT oilcooler and piping, but I recently installed an oiltemp gauge and I'm seeing the oil stays below 70 degr. Celcius most of the time, so you might not need this hardware. -Eric
  23. it's not just the low. plenum that needs to be adapted. you'll also need '95+ injector clips (injectors have a different connector) , a '95+ fuel rail and a customized ECU. -Eric
  24. Vijay, I'm interested in 3 units. I presume the tracking unit also works on Dutch/Euro GSM networks ? or are there limitations ? Does the groupbuy also include a discount on the European/Dutch maps ? Thanks, Eric
  25. It doesn't really matter which design you use. The freeware version should work with all the DIY boards floating around on the net. However, the freeware software doesn't work with the "real" conzult interface as sold with the conzult package and vice versa (the software that comes with the real conzult interface doesn't work with the DIY interfaces) -Eric
