Tyre width size
Hi guys I need a new set of rubber fitted to my wheels. Currently the tyres are 235 on the front and 265 on the rear. How can you tell if the wheel can take a wider tyre as the rears look a little "stretched" to me? Cheers, Chris.

Favourite song/Songs
Too many songs to list can move me for one reason or another but here's a few... This was the first song I played in my first car (blue Escort XR3i S1), for my first drive after passing my test (1998). I was 17 and binned it 3 months later to the same song (thankfully no one was hurt). This song I listen to at random times to myself during the night when my boys won't sleep. Not only is it beautiful but the lyric are so moving (not that I speak a word of Welsh). Also one of my first and dearest memories was watching the film it's from at my nans house when I was about 10. As for best tunes over the last year or so then this does it for me.

Rear light opinions - big ass car
I was perusing the CPZ website yesterday (a PITA on my mobile for some reason) and found a repair panel to fix any cutouts that might have been made to fix your current light fitting. I've no idea if it's any good but might be worth you looking at if you are thinking about returning back to a stock look light fitting. https://conceptzperformance.com/nissan-infiniti-nissan-oem-300zx-rear-tail-light-body-panel-coupe-90-93-z32-79100-32p60-universal_p_10049.php

Top for me mate. The bottom pair look very dated, they'd look good on a fiat coupe still but not a modded 300.

Another job that really pleased me, once it sorted, was the rust in the engine bay around the suspension mount area. I enjoy cleaning the engine bay just as much as the exterior and interior. Rust really deflates my enthusiasm to clean an area and that's no different in the engine bay. I contacted a few body shops local to me before trying Jim as I wasn't sure this was his thing. Each body shop really didn't fill me with any confidence when they were looking at the job so I broach the subject with Jim. After sending him some pictures he explained that it was likely the rust on the near side was likely to need the wing removed to address the problem properly, something the other body shops hadn't mentioned. So if I had gone elsewhere it's likely the problem would have returned witching a few years  Jim sourced the job out to MXD Auto Welding who did a great job. Before After

What did you do to your zed today?
Bit of an odd question but the grey strip on the front of the bumper, is that standard or was a full painted front bumper optional?

The big question for me now is, do I paint it in the flip pain or TK3?

A very Merry Christmas to you all.....!!!
I used to be into model making. I've all the glue, silicon, paint, stands and so on. I even have a compressor and small air brush, it's the only way to get a good finish on a car. The one thing I'm missing is time to do it.

Thanks Nick. Other than the seller telling me it had a nic in the conderser and that the aircon wasn't working I wouldn't know where to start with diagnosing. I don't know if there's a way to test it before the AC guy tries to charge it. Here's a pic of it all fitted and looking good...

The most frustrating job Jim had to deal with was fixing the air conditioning. Mark had said that the air conditioning conderser had suffered a nick and was leaking. A used condenser was supplied with the car when I brought it. Jim had advised that the condenser can be a pain to replace and that I should consider fixing the old condenser. Not convinced that I wanted things "patched up" on my car I asked Jim to replace the old unit with the used unit, Jim dutifully oblige. After pulling everything out and replacing the broken conderser Jim arranged for the air con system to be regased. You've guessed it, the used unit was like a "colander". Unfortunately a new condenser wasn't available so Jim had to order one through CZP. The nice new shiney unit arrived and Jim set about fitting it, called the AC guy back to charge it up and... Nope, still not holding pressure. Jim then went to look for other issues. He had to take out the air con dash unit and it appeared that somebody had been in there before. The tape had all been peeled off from the evaporator valve and wasn't original. He checked for any ingress of material from the dryer cannister and swap the whole unit. Let's call the AC guy up again... Bingo, it's fixed! 3deg coming out the vents, I thought Jim was hiding Olaf in the back seats when he showed me how cold the car got! ?

thinking of getting back into a zed...
White is the best colour in my eyes. If you like blue, purple or/and gold buy mine and I'll buy the white one. (I wouldn't as I like the manual) With regards to the late low mileage fresh imports, I was talking to Gaz late last year, as I'd like a low mileage, 99spec, white manual, and he was saying back then that you'd be very lucky to find one under £10k. Good luck with your search and welcome back. Chris. (P.S. Who was the "famous" owner?
