  1. I’m so glade I sold my first 300 in the very early 00s and didn’t pick another one up until 2013 otherwise I may have been resposable for one or two of these monstrosities. :scared:
  2. Did you bother with all the bolts and strip or do the originals come off ok? EDIT Interesting that the date given for you spoiler in Jan 94. Mines a May 94 although that will be registered.
  3. Yes I’m happy to by original. Sorry to be a pain but why are there two different part numbers, is one UK and the other JDM? I need UK.
  4. Thanks Si. Unfortunately I’m not as clued in to part numbers like some of you guys. Do you have a reference for finding part numbers or are they all in your head?
  5. Do Nissan still stock the 89 spoiler? I’ve tried getting in touch with Ash but I’m getting nothing back.
  6. Not for me, in my opinion it starts to make the 300 a little saloon like.
  7. The reg on the above picture says that the tax expired in 2009 and the MOT in 2015.
  8. Hi Dimitry. Looks very clean and well loved! Pop your name down on the South Central forum. Hopefully see you over the summer sometime. Cheers, Chris.
  9. Agreed but I still think stock lights or 99s would look better.
  10. I like the dark grill! :cool3: Out of interest can anyone tell me if the UK tt had mesh in the front bumper? Mine has but I can imagin its standard.
  11. Thanks Bigh, ive not read that post yet. :cool3:
  12. It was your post and Jaikais that has inspired me to do this. Unfortunately I've no idea of the names of all the components that I can do this to so can't order all the bits I need from the breaker. I'll get all new OEM bushes and bolts for fitting. I'll also get the the brakes callipers refubed at the same time.
  13. Hi guys After reading some of the great rebuild threads I feel inspired to refurbish the underside of my car. Current it's not in a bad state, in fact Jim told me it was clean however I want better. I could by new but it seems that the grade of the finish from new isn't up to much. So what I'm hoping for from those of you that have done this is a list of parts that I can get stove enamelled. You might say that I could just pull off what I've got on my car BUT I've not got the time, space nor knowledge to do this so I'm hoping to prep a load of parts for Jimmer to fit next time I visit him. Forgot to say it's for a UK twin turbo manual LWB. Cheers, Chris.
  14. Have you seen 300zx-engine-bay-rear-cover? I've not seen one fitted but might be just what you're looking for if you want to "dress" the engine bay.
  15. Lol. I was waiting for a load of mumma gags from that.
  16. Thanks for all the comments and pics. I do like the shadow chrome. :cool3:
  17. I've never driven anything older than the Z32 so can't really comment on the others. However I'm not a big fan of the 350, I can see me owning a 370 and will no doubt have another 300 (either Si one or build my own ). I do like the looks of a 240 however I think if I ever came to the point of buying a car of that era I would probably look at a Triumph GT6. I would of course try the Z first. :cool3:
  18. As there wasn't much interest in this I just went ahead a placed an order. For anyone else interested in this cover there is free p&p at the moment, £53 all in.
  19. Lol. Cheers Joely. Is that salmon pink the shame paint code as your car? :p
  20. Cheers Nick. Diamond cut it the heigh polished finish?
  21. Alic, how hard is it to remove all the external trim parts without breaking them? I ask as when my car was resprayed they put the 20 year old trim back on and they really let the car down. I'm respraying the car in a few years so will by trim then however if they're easy to get off then I'm happy to fit now to lift the car until then. Cheers Chris.
  22. So I need to replace the tyres on my 300 and while I'm at it I might as well give the wheels a refurb while the tyres are off. I thought I'd get the opinions of you guys to see what you would do. I've had black chrome before and a bright silver and I've like both those colours. I'm toying with the idea of the oil slick look. Oh and before anyone points out that I'm meant to be returning to standard, sticking the standard wheels against that paint job would look terrible in my opinion and I'm not doing the paint until the rest of the car is finished.
  23. I've seen popper stretched tyres and i wasn't suggesting there was much in it but I thought there might have been a bit more rubber to get on the rear. I'll stick with a new set with 265s on the rear then. Thanks guys!
  24. Well it turns out that once you know you're looking for something then it's easy to find. Not that anything makes much sense to me... Rears,18x9 JJ, not sure what the second picture says (and I can find a similar marking on my UK and JDM original wheels), VIA (don't know what this means and 690KG. The fronts have the same markings others the 18x8JJ. Here's some pics of the current tyres...
  25. Thanks guys. I'm not on stock rims and I've no idea what the spec is. I'll pull the wheels off and see if there's anything stamped on them, that was what I was looking for. I'll also get some pics while I'm at it.
