Slack seatbelt recoil
Hi guys So my drivers side seat belt doesn't recoil as quick as I would like it to, I have to feed the last 150-300mm in. Can anything be done to bring this back to life or is it a new part that's needed? Cheers, Chris.

Project UK rewind
So this is my project rewind. The OLD mission To restore a 94 UK manual TT back to bone stock. However the car will be run as an OEM+ to include larger wheels and a double din radio with OEM part ready to be refitted for the right occasion. The NEW mission To build my dream OEM+ 300zx History The car was registered in May 94 and given as a company car to a banker. In May 96 the banker bought the car outright and covered a total of 94073 miles. Throughout these years the car was serviced at a local Nissan dealer. In December 2001 a registered forum user bought the car. At this point the owner, Mark, had intended to keep the car and started to customise it. These modifications include the flip paint job, 5 way adjustable shocks, Mania 18inch wheels, custom exhaust, larger brakes, poly bushes to the dif and rear subframe, helix clutch, cone air filter, deleted headlight washer, ICE and a top hard pipe kit. Mark covered a further 15883 bringing the total to 109956. Marks For Sale post The car Overall the condition of the car seemed good. The body work had a few issues including rust in the engine bay near both suspension mounts, paint bubbling on the spoiler and a cracked off side mirror surround. However the biggest issue with the car was the colour! The finish was very VERY good and to stand next to the car made it much more agreeable than any photo achieved, in fact I actually quite like it. The problem though is matching the colour: after talking to a few paint shops their verdicts were touch up work is impossible (thankfully there is 1/2ltr of the original paint which I'm hoping will cover the new spoiler and mirror). Eventually it will need a full re-spray. The interior is in good shape for its age, a few scuff marks in the leather and it's looking very dry, a hole in the centre radio surround where I imagine an alarm light went and the alcantara is looking very flat. So I hope you enjoy the following updates as I try to bring my car back to the 90s. Cheers, Chris.

The false widow is everywhere!
Yes they're everywhere. To be honest I've been bite by one of them and it was nothing more than a mosquito bite. Now wolf spiders, they piss me off! Not only do they look like they can take your arm off and carry it back to their den their bit swells up like a wasp sting on me.

Internal car cover
Cheers Gaz. Out of interest (as I'm sure anyone who is thinking of getting a car cover is reading this post), would there be much interest in a group buy? Put your name down if you are so I can see what sort of numbers we're looking at, internal or external.

Internal car cover
Now the she's all tucked up for the winter I would like to be able to keep the dust off. Has anyone got a recommendation for an internal car cover for the 300? Cheers, Chris.

Various lights
Hi guys So I'm after more things to bring my 300 up to standard. Front off side corner light. Front off and near side lights. Rear off side light. Centre light. It's for a UK car (not sure if that makes a difference?) and must be in great condition. Many thanks, Chris.

Should i Sell my 300zx and get a 99 spec?
Use it through the winter, spend whatever money you would have to use on alternative transport over the winter on caring for the underside of the body.

Should i Sell my 300zx and get a 99 spec?
"Back in the day" when I was in my late teens through to my late twenties I thought the fun of cars was all in the bhp and handling. Now, as I'm getting older, I'm finding there's just as much fun to be had with maintaining a clean stock car. Racing around like a loon, stereo blaring and my spine slowly crumbling away with every pot hole just seems bloody silly now. The ride of a standard 300 with those big side wall tyres, fresh suspension and good bushes, from memory, is very comfortable. My current 300 covered 90k+ in its first 7 years. This shows to me that they make great daily drivers if well maintained and stock. My opinion is do it and enjoy it. You can still be different and comfortable.

The best 300ZX in the UK
I'm sure you probably want to take that horrid head unit out and put in a nice Bluetooth unit. Tell you what I'll recycle that old unit to save you putting it in the bin.

OEM uk radio and air intake box
Hi guys So I want to return my 300zx to out of the dealership stock. So I'm after a few bits and pieces and will post as I think of them. The first thing I'm thinking which might be tricky to find but will add a great touch of originality is a UK head unit. Does anyone know if there was a optional heigh grade unit or did they all come with the same head unit? Also was the intake box the same for UK as J spec? Cheers, Chris.

NEC Classic Car Show Pics
I'd agree with that! Spent the best part of 4 hours alone in "our" hall. I was disappointed (but not suprised) at how much space was give to the Sunday market traders. Guess they must be paying a fair bit for their stand though. :whistling:

Thinking of selling the Zed - but for a good reason
Sell your one, let someone else cherish it for what it is and buy a new one to creat your dream. (Also if you find the new creation isn't what you hoped it might be then you may be able to re buy the old girl.)

Various parts
Hi all After deciding to return my 300 to stock I've decided to sell the mods that came with the car when I brought it. I've not put a price on the items as I happy to look at offers as they come in. Please review the picture and if you require any more info or pics just ask. Cheers, Chris.
