  1. You can remove it for the MOT if you're that worried!
  2. I get this too Alan!! Made me laugh!
  3. I think they've done it to stimulate exports...Holiday makers are shafted but exports become favorable for industry and boost GDP....Seeing as we're in the 5hit and financial markets are taking a battering, exports is the only thing left to bring in money and attempt to keep employment stable...
  4. Pete, have yoou done this/had it done...Are they 3 separate parts depending on what you want to do? My arches are fine but have one outer sill with a small hole...is it worth doing the lot in one hit, or just outer sill and then inner if it looks bad too when you cut out the existing sill? I think i've just answered my own question on the sills, but could i do teh arches later if needed or would the outer sill panels have to come off/bought again if i ever needed to do the arches...

e-mail sent but still heard nowt bud! Drop me a line.
  6. Not sure bud as i only learned this myself after about 2 years of ownership on here! Before that i wondered about swapping my rear set-up. Mines a UK so not sure on Jap imports.
  7. It's a few years old that one fella, but a laugh none the less! I like the 'Scousers' pic where they've all got wigs on at the footy!....http://www.psychol.ucl.ac.uk/john.draper/scousers.jpg
  8. http://www.petrolprices.com - Great site and i get a daily e-mail! at 1.20p a litre it was beacuse oil was $147 a barrel....It's down to less than $70 today and we still only get a 20% reduction ....Government should be controling the retail proce to curb inflation and stimulate the economy.. Everything is moved in the UK by road and we all (most of us) have to get to work by road...Seems comon sense to me...:smash:
  9. Remember that if you're on stock suspension that one click engages teh rear suspension actuators and stiffens the suspension...Better for roundabouts!...could be loose wiring?
  10. Tried drying it out? Warm oven on no more than 60 degrees and pop it in for 30mins or so being careful not to put it on something metal! Pop it on a bit of wood if you can... Bit of red sauce after 30mins. Done!
  11. Love the new colour. Also much better without the rear wing!
  12. Too much, on any engine, will cause excess crankcase pressure and ultimatly has to escape somewhere... puts undue pressure on piston rings, gaskettes and fitting joints...
  13. Happy Birthday!
  14. Daft i know but did anyone view the ad at the bottom? "The crazy Matonge spannerleague team!" Not real, but funny!

Not me! They'd need a helicopter for me down that road!!!:x: I always slow through the village though! Especially past the garage:D
  16. Will have a look under mine for you...Looking at the above link there is one 100mm bolt at no.1 The others are guide pins?
  17. Hot needle or a fine drill through your nail to release the pressure! Pop to A&E and they'll do it for you...The relief from teh throbbing will be worth it! Trapped my finger in a van door last year and broke it and all the blood builds up in teh nail bed!
  18. How many Z engines do you reckon he could lift out in a day?!!
  19. Plenty of scope for the lump under that bonnet fella! I drove a SWB in Dubai and it was the best 4wd by far! Arab lads mod them up out there like we do our Z's...Do a search on utube for Patrols...They love em!!
  20. I might be reading this wrong but how is the Astra driver at fault? Might have been a D#CK in town, but if he emergency stopped then that might have been for a reason? Or, could well have been a real situaltion at any point....My point, were you seeing red after he passed you and were you driving too close to him, or sat up his backside??? Did the Astra stop on motorway? Did you not have a lane to avoid him? Hard Shoulder? Middle, Fastlane, rather than stop as well? The guy behind hit you so no hassle, but i can't work the astra bit out? Would it not have been wise to pull over for two mins with the baby in the car and let him F off??!!

Yes bud when are you thinking of? post up an e-mail address and i'll drop you my address. I'm nearer llantrtisant than Cardiff ;-)
  22. Ask how it was set up before you leave! Not sure they even have a conzult to set the car up after putting it back together, but it should be part of any re-build or you'll be running badly! Call in and you can take mine up when you collect if you like and i'll give you some pointers...
  23. Best thing we can all do in this case is get a mate to park in front of it with his van (not illegal!) and move them on. Did anyone see my thread a while back of the van on the M4 motorwary Bridge who completely flouted the signs about parking on teh bridge...They are a law unto themselves and i regularly see local cars parked illegally and not indicating at roundabouts wher they should be setting an example to other road users...
