Fake MOT???
Why can't you ask him if he can move it rather than sneak around trying to get it removed?

At the end of my tether
My 2 penneth would be avoid this site (like me now!) late at night or the internet/Pc's and TV after a certain time and give yourself a 'wind-down' time before bed by reading the paper or a book. I work at a laptop screen all day and find that i struggle to get off straight away when working late or staring at the screen for long periods (like tonight). I don't have trouble sleeping but i think that we're all be bombarded with too much info via PC and phone and need to switch off from it! I should really be reading a book now before bed, but just having my Z fix before bed!

Disintegrated oil filter
Did you run the flush through the filter? I'd assume it's the chemicals in the flush that's done this?

Anyone use Halfords for MOT
If you want Honesty then the local council one has to be the best bet... http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/cheap-mot Cheap MOT's just mean they make it up in problems or parts needed (or try to) so you're best off sticking to who you know and use regularly otherwise..

Chris Evans /Radio 2
Missed the breakfast show, but heard him on Simon Mayo tonight talking about the film 'Rendezvous' he's sitting down to watch before dinner tonight and googled it when i came in. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlPfilnRDuI Also had to google the making and research wikipedia as Chris said it was in a Ferrari GTB and i couldn't work out why the film is out of sync with the sound! ...Turns out it was a Merc with the sound dubbed afterwards...Still a great piece of film though. Not a big ferrari fan but here's some nice photos from his event.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/chris-evans/photos/galleries/6903/11/?Template=photos.tmpl&attrib_1=brand_keyname&oper_1=eq&val_1_1=chris-evans&gallery_id=6903&photo=11#gallery6903

Is anyone a domestic electrician?
[quote name=...failing that if you do it yourself your now breaking the law as you need to be registered and the house would never sell on .....you could always do it yourself though and have it checked and certified by a registered sparky lots cheaper ....third optin do it yourself , if and when you come to sell it say it was re wired just before you bought it by a guy who is a sparky by trade but he moved overseas ...... :) if your stuck in a few weeks when im home i will give you hand to do it mate,[/quote] If it's been re-wired for sockets already you can have a go yourself if you're practical. You can swap all your singles for doubles yourself and maybe add one additional as a 'spur' from each (this was done when you bought it right? ;-) !!) get the board Swapped for PCB's at minimum by a spark and then get it certified by an Electrician..I re-wired and split the downstairs ring main to two on my 1930's rental a couple of years back when i knocked two rooms into one... I told the Spark that i'd added & Swapped for new and he commented how good my work was. I had a 3 year sign off for rental from a totally independant company. It is possible to do some work as long as you know what you're doing. Unfortunatly, there are some idiots out there who still need to be protected from their own stupidity and can't wire up a plug!...that's why it's now law that you need to be qualified and registered to work on them...

Car advise wanted..
Ford S-Max or if money is not an issue and you can consider the XC90 then why not buy a nice T5 VW Transporter... Not a big van and on ethat the mrs will drive comfortably too? Opt for the Van and Put the rear seats in yourself to seat 6 and for engine options go for the T30 174bhp if you want performance!!...This will hopefully be my next move after baby arrives...

I'm up for it this year (just got back from hols) but my MOT ran out sunday. Should be all OK so if so I will take the Z and would like a stand pass if possible! I'm also probably going on my todd so if anyone wants to ride Shotgun i'll have a spare seat!

Should i give him his money back?
You can bin that laptop!!! The dongle is the main money! Do you have the CD as well or do i have that somewhere?! Saw the MOT post. will have to pop over when back from hols...Bought another oil burner, merc 320 estate (S210) as now acquired a dog as well as baby on the way! Put some E55 AMG rims on it so it's not so disrespectable and at least i have a car to carry all my wheels around in now! (3 unused sets in the garage! e-bay session next month!)

Should i give him his money back?

Just bumped someone UPDATED
Vodkashots....ask for 2/3 quotes as this garage might be related to her?!
-
Just bumped someone UPDATED
It's not that she's lose her no claims, more the fact that you have to declare an accident and even though its a 'no-fault' it still effects the cost of your premium next time you renew....

Holidays
Take a look or sign up to Travelzoo.com/.co.uk . I get some amazing offers through them. All inclusives in Egypt (Sharm el Sheik, is not so much an issue) would be cheaper than Spain due to the exchange rate at the moment. Otherwise, for teh same reason i go further (long Haul to the USA?) and book through Flightcentre...

Should i give him his money back?
Put it this way, rubber is the only thing between you the road and an accident. I wouldn't put second hand tyres which i new nothing about on my daily driver, never mind my Z, so in my opinion, "you pays your money, you takes your chances"...

Got my Escort back
Why? If you bought it as a runaround what is the issue? It's not like you bought it to pose around in, it's more of a tool. You've not claimed on it, so fix it up and keep it for another few months/miles and buy a nice big chain to go between the steering wheel and seat adjuster ;)
-
not protecting no claims
However, when quoting for new insurance they always ask if it was protected or not and the premium is higher if you're carrying over a 'protected' no claims...I've never protected mine for this reason and benefited from lower premiums in the long run...Depends on what you value the risk at....
