LOL at your new sig! Am i to call you 'tibbs' from now on?!!
  2. In thw words of chopper reid pi55 take you have on some TV comedy programme out there......"Scrawni, harden the f**k up and stop whinging ya pommy barsteward"!!!!! Grass is always greener bud!!..When i was in the U.A.E i missed home, (I think i drank more beer though) and stood in the rain for 20 mins on my forst trip home..... now i'm back here again, i miss the heat.... and the salary! I'll swap ya anyday!! Might be joining you in a year or so if i can sell my main house ;-) Keep yer chin up bud!
  3. Where???!!! I'm out next Sat as i've been on teh wagon for a month and dieting and swimming. Back to 16stone now so will beletting off some steam! Tell Glenn to buzz me as he has my no.!!! Have you tried exercise after work. I've been swimming a few nights now and sleep like a baby after that! http://images2.ecarlist.com/cgi-bin/viewall.pl?dir=993_186447#07.jpg Still up?!!! I'm not, just addicted to this place and get no time in the week at the moment!
  4. Handy bit of kit i use as they can squeak when tight as they are worn...Until you adjust try a squirt of this...Carpet tack can work too ;-0 http://www.4wheelplay.co.uk/hycote-belt-slip-400ml-p-25000208.html
  5. If your considering SUV's the new Mitsubishi 'outlander' is a nice vehicle in Black...Gut where i work has just bought one. Plus, low emissions on some units meaning lower tax bands and i think the 2.2 mivec unit does 40+ to the gallon? I assume as it's company related that it might also fall inside the contract hire rates if your firm use that as a guide?
  6. I have the same one, but want to get the fastest one....in Grey!!! Take a look at the options; http://www.jadaclub.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=300zx&x=12&y=13

  10. Well he can't exactly just say it's for tax reasons can he? Come on guys, even our own polititions are avoiding tax with their London homes and second home income refurbishments! How naive are you all?
  11. you have to remember that swedes are quite hard, if you drop one it always bounces!!!
  12. Not that weird...I think what he's trying to say that you can sometimes be a little too pedantic with some long time members which brings out their sarcasm!:p
  13. Cos the goverment are also coining all the surplus tax and we're getting no tax relief! In fact they removed the 10p rate!!..Time for a change me thinks!
  14. It's been less than $110 a barrel since the end of July and is now less than $100! It was $147 in June...We're still being ripped off and in my opinion this is the main area that Gordon and his Darling need to focus their attention...Stamp duty relief in a declining market, stopping short selling on financial shares...How exactly does that help the man in the street?!!! in one fell swoop they could get a grip on inflation if they focussed some attention on this area...everything in the UK is delivered by road.. It's not hard to work out!!!...Tubz for Chancellor!
  15. I'd say warped discs if it only happens at high speed and is less noticable at lower speed?
  16. Kickdown could be gearbox oil...When was it last changed? Might be worth some new fluids in that? I have a manual so not the best to advise but i've read it on here a few times!
  17. TPS needs to be 0.45! Also better to be between 0.45 and 0.5 mine is at 0.46 ficking to 0.47 as you can never seem to get 0.47 without is going to 0.48!! Possibly need to adjust your timing as well and do this with a Strobe? Use the No.1 Cylinder for the timing light clamp though as the pulse from the CAS wiring loom seems to give a false read to the light! Compare with Conzult for best accuracy!

  19. Thats why i offered! I know the ferry is dear as i just looked!(but if yiou can wait it gets cheaper....£191 for a single in Late october?)... As a UK driver we can get insurance to drive in Europe for minimal cost (like a driving holiday) and i can drive it to your home and then you can re-register and insure it at your leisure...also England to France on teh ferry is a cheaper option, but more fuel!
  20. Pay for the ferry, fuel and my flight home with easyjet and i'll book a long weekend from work and drop it off for you...Plymouth to santander route can be booked from around £60?? I could even come back on the same ferry to minimise cost for you time permitting. I can get a weeks temporary fully comprehensive insurance on my policy at minimal cost for you. PM me as i'd be happy to help for a bit of adventure!
  21. Golf TDi (estate)??... Estates don't hold their money as well and can be picked up cheaply? Highly economical and relatively small so she can drive that and you keep the Z?!!
  22. great read to kill a bit of a 'stuffybum' friday afternoon!
  23. I think you've answered your own question really fella...Check for vac and boost leaks?.... Open the windows and whip the targas out would be my sarcastic 2 penneth!!
  24. Your exactly right and based on my experience i wouldn't trust anyone at this place to change a wheel or fill a washer bottle on my Z now, never mind work on an engine! Granted that was when the elusive Ryan Southall was owner and manager...A complete idiot, whom i'm still waiting to catch up with to retrieve his broken financial promises used to appease me with the issues i had with my supposed re-build! ...Chris sorted some issues when he took over but it's never been done properly or with any finesse you expect of a mechanic never mind a specialist! I'll be popping in on Ryan when i have time to visit where he now lives...) However, employees were retained, and employees changed, and those with experience and a bit of finesse to do a job, let go or sacked....Seems to me they're still chancing their arms and not doing proper re-builds despite attempting to charge for them and following the previous owners pattern (unless he's still involved???)! Their website also needs updating and a legal letter from the club then, This always used to make me chuckle! Anyone who wants to know about my '6k down the drain' experience please PM me for details.
