  1. how about "it's paid and i need my 'lude to go so i have somewhere to put it"?
  2. anyhow, come on guys. any history, seen it about, etc? even if it hasnt been a members car its got to have been noticed? pics asap but until i pick it up its just the description. thanks.
  3. anyone know how to get pics on here?
  4. yeah, thats it. well along those lines. that one's a bit too "dots and dashes" for me. the 'lude one's totally smooth needles, clocks that light up like clocks and the needles sweep rather than lighting up the bars all the way round. at night its like sitting in the starship enterprise. very cool and very nice to look at. they also have the added bonus of being Very easy to read at a glance. bwilliant!!!
  5. Me again. all this having a 'net connection again is great! anyway, i have a prelude (thats for sale after getting my 2nd Z) which has a VFD (vaccuum [cant spell it] flourescent display) dash. its one of the things i love about it and i was wandering if anyone does a similar thing for the Z? basically it looks black (you cant see the clocks or needles, etc) untill you switch it on then it lights up like  that sort of colour. i'd love one for the Z's if they're about? cheers. si.
  6. Thats true. the insurance, while very steep, isn't much compared to a years running the Z. even if it doesnt let you down (and as a 15+ yr old supercar they do get troubles), the servicing, tyres, and 15mpg @nearly £1.00/litre gets a little silly at times. TBH you will need a very good job and a bit of luck to run one for long. ever been on holiday and it cost you £500 in fuel alone then a £50 service at the end? ouch.
  7. and the clutch wont be heavy in this one lol
  8. TBH i wasnt keen on having a red car but that one is a nice red. my other Z's silver but i like most colours of them.
  9. legrath: yeah, i know m8. it will be 1st thing on my list when i pick it up alongside getting a new front crossmember and getting it on a jig. i wont drive it properly untill its right. (must admit that i did give it a GOOD testdrive though ;o))
  10. yay!!!! i'll fit straight in!!!! :o))) the new Z's the same colour as the red one in your spectrum, Richard if that helps anyone?
  11. there's sound performance in wolverhampton to go have a look but i found their prices were a bit salty for some stuff. wheelmania is good. where in wolves you from?
  12. sorry, i havent got any pics yet as i dont collect it until monday but its red, black wheels and polished rims, TT auto but has an N/A front bumper, what look like about 4' exhausts, T-tops and it looks like its slid into an armco on the right side at some point and been "repaired".
  13. now for the less paedantic (if its spelled correctly), does anyone know anything about this car? lol
  14. picky get but i see what you mean. lol
  15. yeah, i know m8. the guy said he'd had it valued at £500.
  16. Oh, i forgot, its a TT auto and apart from backboxes it seems standard. And its a jap import. Ta in advance.
  17. Hi all. i just got a second Z for knocking about in while mine is still in bits. its a red Z with black aftermarket wheels reg H550 NEY. Any one know the history to it as its been in a knock at some point? cheers. si. :nana2: :hyper:
  18. ok, quick fix would be take out the inline fuse and run a new feed to the sidelights on a seperate switch. this is a bit of a "get you home" thing but it'll see you through while its not right. hth si
  19. only way round that is to check all the suspect bits and bobs by the sound of it. if you find a dodgy connection its probably something to do with it. having said that, a nissan shouldnt have a ford relay in it and these cars dont like to be bodged so it may be less time consuming just to get it done properly once than mess about with it for an age. not much use i know but im no good at electrics. si
  20. general rule of thumb with intercoolers: more size/airflow = more power. 200bhp through one is more than 150bhp through one so they should work ok untill 400bhp in theory? how about 200sx turbo's too? whats the differences (apart from one will need to be at 180 degrees)?
  21. sounds cheap enough mate. i take it thats shadow chrome then? or is it a metalic-based paint? (cant really tell in the pic) si
  22. does anyone know what it costs to hire a track/dragstrip, etc? club meet?
