hi, Leigh. good to see its coming on. are you going to go for the flat sides to the wings, etc too? i really havent got the bottle to go that far with mine as i know i'd wreck it but good luck on that one. looking better every time. si.

i already got a good one. lol. this one is just to mess about with. i was thinking of breaking it and maybe buying a manual with a dead engine? i think the spares off this one would probably pay for most of it and i always have a little money on one side just incase.

oh yeah, its well out. the front c.member where it meets the big metal thing that holds the rod that holds the wheel (dunno the name for it lol) has only got one bolt in it due to the member being bashed in and too out of line for the other bolts. its not a good one. the guy i bought it off said he'd hit a kerb. i take it this was after the MOT cuz it wouldnt pass without those bolts. also the back end feels like the wheels are fighting each other and it loses grip suddenly and for no real reason. nasty to drive. lol

nah. bought it like it is as i got it cheap. like i can sell the motor for more than i payed for the whole car. its just a shame. i must admit i didnt really check it that well when i bought it. i noticed it'd been bumped but i was going to get it done and use it for my winter Z. after driving it i dont think its really upto the job. its ok-ish at low-normal speeds but its skittish and just doesnt feel right. and handles all over the place. i just think it'd be safer if it wasnt on the road (i have a bit of Z experience but if a newbie jumped in it there'd probably be a big accident) but the engine is really good and most of the stuff on it looks quite well looked after. its just the bent body thats killing it hence the thought to re-shell it? still undecided. lol

low fluid? loose PAS pump belt? si.

hmm.... i could but i really dont trust cars that have been banged. its had rear 1/4, sill and crossmember damage so it'll be a nightmare to get it straight and i doubt it'll ever be bang on. im still thinking of breaking it or using it as a donor for a good car with a dead engine.

i'd presume that if it was a rubber you'd still get a little movement at all increments. i'd go for UJ or rack but more likely UJ, i'd say, especially if the steering is slightly notchy st certain angles. si.

surely a decent paint shop can get it or the equivalent match for you? we have a place called jawel paints up here who can get pretty much anything. si.

no idea if they have a rubber ring but is it free play or is there just little resistance?

i have no idea at this time if chunk will return here or not once the week is up mate thats sad. lets hope he does. hope it was something that wont make a long term difference. like i said, he's a bit outspoken sometimes but i dont think he means harm by it? just my 10p si.

computer = computes. im lost. do you not get an advantage by having 2x processors automatically then? i take it that if you havent got the right software you'd only be using one processor anyway? or just half the speed of each? totally over my head. can anyone explain it to me please? cheers. si.

agreed. and im all for the junk in the NZR forum. sometimes its quite funny. the only thing i dont like is when some people pick on others, make them feel unwelcome or are just plain rude for the sake of it.

gotta admit i have been on the edge of coughing up a lot of times only to see someone having a go because they're drunk, bored, jealous, rowing with the other half, etc but that shouldnt be coming on here. i've always said that when i go a month without seeing bad stuff on here i'll subscribe. it hasnt happened yet. si.

sounds good, Kirbz but i need to spend the money and time together. the missis wont let me go spend a big bang ammount on it so i have to drag it out as its not due to be ready untill next summer-ish. also, i already have a spare engine that i brought to build up (off Leigh) so i'd have to re-sell that, etc too. just from interest though, how much would you be after for it (i read the VERY nice spec list) and is there still room for bigger turbo's or would i have to re-locate them anyway? cheers. si.

and if you can do it without knackering it totally? it'll have to be pretty over engineered to take that kind of increase. if it looks reasonable though, go for it. si.

the other thing is, would we be better on a tarmac track or a banger track? i'd prefer a tarmac track i think. i'd say the 'ring but i doubt many £200 cars would get there and neraly none would get back after being mercilessly hammered into the ground by a group of nuttuer used to cars with 10? times the power? si.
