who has removed AC
It doesnt affect performance. If you floor the throttle the aircon compressor drops out anyway so you get all the power thats going. Sure when its on it uses a little fuel and especially when stuck in traffic but on the open road it hardly uses any. Maybe a little weight saving if you junk it but if it works well leave it alone. You can always switch to econ.

z32 differences
Euro / UK TT models have bigger radiator, bigger engine oil cooler and a rear axle / differential oil cooler. Imports were speed limited to 112mph and in theory didnt need cooling for high speed cruising as they couldnt. UK cars also tend to come with some rust.

Petrol Leak!!!!
Its the one under the fpr! everybody thinks tightening the hell out of the ones they can see will stop it. Then they dont know about the one right under the fpr feeding down to the fuel injector rail. The one right under the fpr is hard to get at - you have to take off the trim over the throttle cables to see it and its quite hard to get a screw driver near. Ordinary 8mm high pressure fuel hose from Harrys replaces all. You can even re use your old clips. Its when the hoses are so shrunken with age that the clip cant clamp them any more and the rubber doesnt seal when cold. Take a look under the car next time - you'll be amazed at how much fuel is pissing out down the back of the engine!

Does anybody have a pic of how high their hand brake is when parked??
dont mess with the cable - adjust it through the bunged holes in the drums! When its done properly its a good handbrake.

02 sensor removal
and before you do all that check the connector for the dreaded green oxide! Thats what was making mine look dead. Cleaned it up and 02 working fine again!

jubilee clips
and if you really cant find them you can always string two together!

Very Low Oil Pressure
search - nissan electric sender is very unreliable - with the engine ticking over and hot take a look see inside the oil filler cap - you should see it swimming in oil in there=fine! A new sender is quite expensive and goes off again within 30k miles. You can always fit an after market one if it worries you.

Advice for snow
Also if you have wide tyres and an auto and you have just started it you can find the car keeps going when you brake gently at really low speed. The drive can be enough to overcome the rear brakes with the fronts locked up gliding over the snow. Really weird sensation. Just remember to knock it into neutral or press hard enough to lock the rears! Its just that common sense makes you want to brake gently when the roads all snow.

petrol pipe locations?
My favourite for this is under the fpr heading down to the injector rail. The fpr is on the rhs between the back two intakes. You just cant see under it and thats where the pipe leaks -some go changing the fpr cos it appears broke but its just the pipe rubber hardening and leaking. Take off the trim cover over the throttle cables for a better look see.

Petrol Leak!!!!
if they leak enough to smell it then you can also see it. Look under the car next time you start it in freezing weather you might see the fuel running off the bottom of the bell housing. Mine came from underneath the fpr and run down pipes into the vee of the engine and out the back and down onto the floor. You just couldnt see it until you looked under the fpr with the plenum trim already off. Once it warms up a bit it stops so you have to check when stone cold. Mind the fpr has 3 connections - its the one you cant see right underneath it that causes the problems. It feeds down to the injector rail and probably suffers most from heat hardening.

Too much gearbox oil?
If you have one with a drain plug you can drain and drop the sump. Then look at the oil pick up strainer - if its full of bits then your clutches etc are breaking up. The oil would be brown, cloudy smelly as well rather than bright clear red.

removal tool for 02 sensors
Also check the connectors for oxide - one of mine was giving duff due to green oxide in the connector - a good scrape and some vaseline and all was well - no need to replace - just re run the o2 diagnostic to prove.

knocking noise when braking
Sounds like a bit of rust on a front disc. If you are not using the car regularly there can be a build up on the edges of the discs especially. If a piece chips off it leaves a rough edge that will cause the tap tap until it is worn off (or the pad) then no more noise. Try braking harder from higher speeds

O2 XDA Exec
do you talk to it to get it to play mp3's? Couldnt believe that, what artist would you like? what album? what track? Amazing kit. I hear you have to get the latest windows version to get it more bug free tho. Colleague here can stream video to it via wifi when he's in the shunky. Or get lost watching lost on divx! and its also good for GPS with the bluetooth antenna

Superchips do it again
That Ford Sierra was class. Guy wearing a fleece, one hand on the wheel vibrating everywhere did was it 206mph? whereas Tiff in racing driver kit, helmet the works just wasted time and money. They junked the big Lotus spoiler too, door mirrors etc trying to get it up there by losing drag.

VBH has she still got it?
nah she's one of them nervy chain smoker types, photogenic, dirty laff but not much else. Saw her hanging on the end of a fag once and that spoiled all my illusions. Bring on Polly from MOM sat morning kiddy show I say!

Front suspension/steering bushes/ball joint etc.
top link bushes are a probable as they dont last long. A set of 8 costs about £160 and a vice and hammer will drift them out and in. Middlehurst Nissan St Helens I think. Nismo ones same as for Skylines. Tension rod bushes also might be finished leaking etc. Big debate on safety of poly and some use rose jointed. I used Superflex poly 4 years ago and still fine so I think they are OK but some stiffer ones might be the cause of cracking on lower track arm as experienced by some.

Fekking BBC
....and they want to give people a pension just for being a citizen! not for paying the national insurance and taxes! You can just see the 3rd worldies watching this on their sat tv and getting their ar5ses over here pronto to do the citizenship test! They'd be mad not to and there's no end of bleeding heart liberals who want to spend your money letting the sods in! Its getting like a pyramid scheme but its the last ones in who rip you off not the first ones. The Frenchies have got this right over babies too - giving a tax break for having more to people who actually pay some taxes! needed a rant there:)

Conzult in Glasgow?
14.9 from a stock Z is not far wrong and only just cracking 100 in that time too. You need more boost and a decent chip to get lower and a faster reaction time:)

Pothole....1 Mick....0
I lost a tyre and also then found the wheel rim was bent when they tried to fit a new tyre. Obviously had to replace it and after that subitted a detailed and honest claim - they argued a few times with letters but paid out after about 6 months. Only claimed for half a tyre since it wasnt brand new any more. Wheel cost plenty though - try buying an odd one! good luck

How the rich live. . . .
there's a few cultures in this world that have a holier than thou attitude and its the money paid by creative hard working societies that funds their perverse view of the world. They then export that under your nose and ... sooner we make our own the better!
