  1. Agreed!
  2. Happy birthday Graham - have a great day mate!
  3. Hi and welcome to the club Alan - and good luck with your new toy! With regards the 'belt change, go for the full kit. However at 90k km, you could indeed probably leave out the pulleys and tensioners until the next one. But definitely change the waterpump, thermostat and the little rubber hoses. Thank you too, for your support in subscribing; always appreciated mate!
  4. Glad to see you back Bri - hope you and Christine are well mate
  5. Happy 100th birthday Captain Tom - you, sir, are a true legend.....
  6. Nice work Chris....
  7. Perfect - looking good Lee.....!!
  8. Wow - looking really good there Naz….!! Love those new wheels mate.....
  9. Nice one Naz - I shall go and take a look mate....
  10. Agreed! I have occasionally toyed with the idea of doing something like that with the instrument binnacle - purely to eliminate the reflection in the windscreen in extremely sunny conditions. But then always come to the decision that the effort outweighs the need
  11. I'm with Jimmer too - and also agree with you regarding no need to balance it. Just a mild polish, to smooth the bearing surfaces, no material would be removed at all.
  12. They need to be lower Lee..... Check out that little indentation in the top of the scuttle panel, pretty much at the tip of your right wiper blade. That's where it should rest!
  13. Hi mate, Many of us do - but due to GDPR, we cannot pass his contact details on. If Brian reads this and contacts you, then fine... Otherwise, do feel free to pass your details (via PM) onto me or another committee member and we'll forward them to Znut and ask him to get in touch. Richard
  14. Yup - will indeed be interesting to see. The 25th is tomorrow....!
  15. ….As for me, I drove mine a little; then filled the tank with fuel and drove home.... …………..Empty roads, sun shining, sitting behind the 'wheel of a 300zx; what could be better
  16. I'm not sure TBH... If no power is getting to the aerial, and you've tried the fuse, then apart from a bad live feed out of the head unit, there's not much else to check.
  17. Yup - and 1990s Japanese leather was never that great quality. One minor point Lee - you mentioned it was a shorty, that one has back seats mate Tidy looking Zed though - and in the nicest colour!!
  18. Could be the control relay. There is a little off-white box, about the sized of a cigarette pack, behind the RH boot trim. I seem to remember having to replace the one in my old red Zed....
  19. There is a web-based Audi owners' club/forum - I got chatting to one of their guys at the NEC last November. My friend joined up whilst we were there - however sadly he has heard nothing more from them since.... Not a good recommendation, I fear!
  20. Hi Rich - welcome to the club.... And good luck with your new toy; thanks for sharing the pictures. And thank you too, for your support! Richard
  21. Today I fiddled with my new boot catch - to get the setting right. It turned out to be trickier than I thought, mainly due to the poorly refitted rear trim panel. So I ended up removing all the boot panels and reinstalling them with new screws and bolts.....! And to test it, I popped out for a drive along the worst road near me. I turned off the radio and, happy days, pretty much all previous rattles and squeaks seem to have disappeared. Job done
